Part XXXI
He carefully laid her on the
couch and ran to lock the door. He walked back to her, pulling his shirt over
his head. He watched as she slid her jeans off and tossed them on the floor
before working on the buttons of her own shirt. He quickly unbuckled his belt
and slid his pants off as he watched her sensuously teasing her nipples.
Her right hand slowly moved
down her body. He licked his lips as he watched her touch herself, gently
sliding her finger inside of herself. She smiled wickedly at him.
"Like that baby?"
"Mm-hmm." His hand
began slowly stroking himself.
"I thought you
would." She removed her hand and slowly brought it to her mouth. He
groaned as she sucked her own juices from her fingers. "Come here..."
He quickly made his way to her, stopping only when she
reached out and gripped him. She smiled and licked her lips, pulling him closer. His eyes
involuntarily closed and a moan escaped him as he felt her lips wrap around
him. His hand moved to her breast, gently caressing her before rolling her
nipple between his fingers. She moaned, causing him to gasp.
"Sara..."
She pulled off of him
slowly, placing a gentle kiss on the head as he slipped out. She looked up at
him and grinned. "Do you feel how wet I am?"
"Yes..." His voice
was full of lust.
"You gonna do something
about it?"
He slowly nodded before
gently crawling on top of her. "What do you want Sara?"
She leaned up slightly,
running her tongue from his throat to his ear. "I want you to fuck
me...right now..."
He grinned and slowly slid
inside of her. He moved slowly, tormenting her. He sucked her nipple into his
mouth, gently chewing on it. She wrapped her legs around him, urging him to
move faster. He resisted, smiling against the soft flesh of her breast.
"Gil...please...harder...please..."
He leaned up and ran his
tongue across her lips. "No." He smiled as she whimpered. "Not
yet."
He continued with his
agonizingly slow, deep thrusts. Her nails dug into his shoulders as her head
fell back. His mouth quickly covered her soft skin there. Her hands moved to
his hair, forcefully holding him to her neck as her hips arched to meet his. He
smiled and silently kept count as he felt her quiver underneath him.
"Oh...God...Gil..."
He slowed his movements even
more and leaned back slightly to watch her. "You're so beautiful."
"Shut...up...fuck...me..."
He smiled and took her hands
in his. She opened her eyes and gazed at him. She tightened her legs around him
as he leaned further back, pulling her up with him. Her smile matched his as he
stretched his legs out underneath her and moved his hands to her hips.
"Learn...something...new...did
you?"
"Internet..." It
was all he could get out as she laid her hands on his chest and began
quickening the strokes herself. His hands moved to her ass and gently squeezed,
bringing another moan from her.
"You
feel...so...good..." Her hand grasped the back of the couch tightly. His
right hand moved slowly up to her breast as he fought to keep his own eyes
open.
"Sara...oh..."
She sucked her bottom lip
into her mouth and gently bit it to stifle the scream that was in her throat.
His hand softly wiped the sweat from her neck before pulling her down to him.
His tongue found its way into her mouth as she groaned into his. He quickened
his pace, matching her thrust for thrust. His hand was wound in her hair,
holding her tightly to him. He could hear and feel the stifled scream and
smiled inwardly.
Three...
She suddenly broke the kiss
and sat straight up, moving her hands over his. She opened her eyes slowly and
met his. She reached and caressed his face, letting her fingers gently run
through his hair. "I love you...oh...yeah...like...um..."
His hand moved to her
shoulder, gently pushing her back. "I...love you...too."
He gripped the back of the
couch and pulled himself up. She quickly found herself on her back with her
legs on his shoulders.
"I...need...to
read...more."
He smiled and tilted his
head to kiss the inside of her knee. "Still want me...to fuck you?"
"Yes...now...fuck
me...please."
His hands slipped under her
ass, lifting her slightly as he quickened his strokes. He slammed his body as
forcefully as he could into hers. He felt her muscles contract around him. He
groaned a little more loudly than he meant to as he felt his orgasm quickly
approaching.
"Sara..."
"Come...with
me...baby...now..."
As if on command, he
unloaded deep within her, each moaning one another's names in unison. He let
her legs slide down and around him, and then he gently collapsed onto her. They
laid there for a few minutes, listening to each other.
After their breathing and
heart rates calmed somewhat, he looked into her eyes. He placed a gentle kiss
on her lips before smiling at her.
"What?"
He ran his hand through her
hair and his smile widened.
"What Gil?"
"That was four..."
She giggled and wrapped her
arms around him, pressing a kiss into his lips.
He groaned lightly as he
heard his pager. Looking at it quickly, he got up and retrieved the towel from
his desk drawer and tossed it to her with a grin on his face.
"I guess it's time to
get back to work..."
Grissom turned to the
younger man sitting in the passenger seat. "Nick? Are you okay?"
Nick's eyes darted towards
the window. "Uh...yeah...I'm fine...why?"
Grissom shrugged his
shoulders. "I don't know...you're just...unusually quiet, that's
all."
Nick glanced over at his
boss and smirked to himself. Stallion?
"Oh...just processing some things, you know?"
Grissom sighed heavily
before turning his eyes back to Nick. "Look...I know what was
said...okay?"
He watched as Nick's smirk
turned into a full grin. "Nick...I am not
discussing this with you..."
Nick chuckled. "Thank
God."
Grissom smiled. "The
first person who whinnies around me, will pay...dearly."
Nick broke into laughter. As
his laughter slowly ebbed, he looked back at Grissom.
"Griss?"
"Yeah?"
"You know she didn't
mean to, don't you?"
He looked cautiously at
Nick. "Mean to what?"
Nick smiled lightly.
"Say what she did...about you."
He watched as Grissom
blushed quickly before clearing his throat. "Um...yeah...I know."
Nick grinned at him.
"Secret's safe with me, you know..."
Grissom glanced at Nick and
spoke in a cryptic tone. "It better be..."
~~~~~~~~~~~
Grissom smiled as he walked
into his office and found Sara sleeping peacefully on the couch. The couch
where earlier tonight they had made love. He grinned at the memory. He had
tormented her...he was sure that she would make him pay for that eventually.
He walked over to her,
leaned over and kissed the top of her head, before moving to his desk and
taking a seat. He tried to work on his notes, but was having trouble. He loved
watching her sleep. Her sleeping habits had gotten better since their first
night together, but she still didn't get enough rest. He smiled as he heard her
mumble his name.
Looking at the clock, he
decided to wake her. There was only fifteen minutes left of shift anyway. He
stood and walked slowly towards her. Sitting down on the edge of the couch, he
leaned down and gently kissed her lips. She stirred lightly as his hand gently
caressed her face.
"Honey?"
Her eyes blinked a couple of
times before slowly opening. "Mmmm..." She
looked up to see his smiling face. "Hey...what time is it?"
"Time for you to wake
up so we can go home." His hand carefully brushed through her hair.
"Oh...sorry...I didn't
mean to fall asleep."
He grinned at her.
"It's okay...well...unless you had a case you were working on..."
She chuckled lightly.
"You know better than that...all cases are done. I was just waiting on
you."
He stood and gently pulled
her up. He handed her his jacket. She looked at him...puzzled. "Um...it's
a little chilly out there."
The depth of his sweet
nature never ceased to amaze her. She slid her arms into his jacket, breathing
in his scent. Taking his hand into hers, she looked up at him. "Let's go
home..."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
She sat on the sofa and
turned the television on as he walked into the kitchen to get breakfast
started. She quickly got bored with what she was watching, and followed him
into the kitchen. Hearing her sit down, he turned to her.
"Not ready yet..."
She smiled. "I know...I
just wanted to watch you."
Her smile always made his
heart do flips. "Well, it's not
that exciting...eggs, bacon, toast..."
"It's not the food I'm
watching, Gil...you, on the other hand, are
exciting." His quick blush made her giggle.
"So...did Nick behave
himself?"
"Yeah...of course, I
threatened him..."
Her giggle turned into a
full-blown laugh. "You didn't..."
Her laugh caused his smile
to widen. "Well...not directly...I just told him that the first person who
whinnies at me will pay dearly."
He saw the look of evil
mischief cross her face. "Does that include me?"
His tongue gently touched
his lip. "Especially you."
She smiled wickedly as the
soft whinny left her lips. He sighed heavily and turned off the eyes on the
stove, thankful that the food was actually finished. He could warm it up later.
Turning around, he advanced slowly towards her.
With a smile on her face, she
shrieked and quickly ran out of the kitchen...down the hall and into their
bedroom. He was hot on her heels.
He grabbed her wrist as they
ran into the bedroom, turning her around.
"I told you…now you
must pay." He tried his best to sound menacing…but judging from the grin
on her face, he wasn’t succeeding.
"Oh, yeah…and just what
do you think you’re gonna do?"
He answered by quickly
spinning around and pushing her back against the now closed bedroom door. He
held both of her wrists above her head in one of his hands.
He bit back the laughter as
he saw the complete look of surprise on her face.
"Oh…well…this should
be…interesting." She struggled briefly against him, stopping as he moved
forward, pressing his body against hers.
His mouth was mere inches
from hers. Her breathing quickened slightly and she licked her lips.
"So…what, uh…what are you going to do?"
He wanted to laugh and then
gently throw her on the bed. But…she seemed to be enjoying this. "If I
told you, then where would the suspense be?"
His left hand still held her
wrists, his right was resting lightly on her hip. He felt her hips slightly move towards him.
He tightened his grip with his right hand and gently pushed her back against
the door.
"No…don’t move."
"What?"
He licked his lips and gave
her a wicked smile. "I said…don’t move."
"You’re joking…"
He raised an eyebrow at her.
"Am I?"
She searched his eyes for a
moment before softly whispering the answer to that simple question.
"No…"
He smiled at her, then
leaned forward and placed a kiss on her throat.
"You…expect me…to
stand…perfectly still while…you’re…touching me…"
He leaned back and grinned
at her. "No…I don’t expect it…I demand it…"
He saw a flash of fire in
her eyes, which was quickly replaced by lust. When she spoke, her tone was
lower than before. "You…demand it?"
He hedged for a moment,
silently asking her if she was sure she wanted this to continue. Her eyes urged
him on. "Yeah…demand."
Her chest was rising and
falling much more quickly now. His left shoulder was beginning to ache
slightly.
"And…what if…I
don’t…cooperate?"
He chuckled lightly at her.
"Well…then…I don’t continue."
She willed her eyes to break
their gaze with his. It didn’t work. "Okay…"
"If I let your hands
go, you’ll be good?" She nodded slowly. "No moving?" She shook
her head gently.
He smiled and brushed his
lips against hers, momentarily forgetting that he had started this game. She
smiled against his lips, knowing that he had broken out of this character he
had created. He cleared his throat softly and glanced across the room.
"Okay…" His voice
was rough. His eyes weren’t. "You move…I stop…understand?"
She nodded slowly.
"Yes, sir." Calling him ‘sir’ caught him by surprise. She fought back
the grin successfully.
His hand released her
wrists, letting her arms fall to her side. He quickly pulled her shirt over her
head, allowing his fingers to lovingly caress her skin. His mouth traced her
collarbone as he tugged her jeans down over her hips. He took her hand and led
her to the foot of the bed where the hope chest always sat.
He swallowed hard, not sure
if he could continue this little game much longer.
"Turn around."
She did as he commanded.
"Take them off."
She obeyed him, the smile
quickly forming on her lips. She heard the familiar sound of his clothes
falling to the floor behind her.
"Kneel on the
chest."
Her heart raced and she
fought to suppress the moan in her throat.
Slowly, she climbed onto the
chest and moved her hands to the footboard of the bed to steady herself. She
felt his fingers tenderly caressing her back. Her smile widened. He was having
trouble staying in this character. Her body quivered under his touch and her
hips shifted slightly back towards him. He inhaled sharply.
"I thought…I said…no
moving."
She grinned. She knew as
well as he did that he wouldn’t be able to play this completely through. She
decided that she would try her best to help him though.
She felt his warm breath on
her ass. She whimpered as his tongue traced circles on her flesh. He slowly
eased two fingers into her as his tongue gently prodded her anus again. Her
body shuddered lightly, causing him to smile. He massaged her inner walls with
his fingers, urging her orgasm. She suddenly clenched around him, coating his
hand with her fluid. Her moan echoed in the room. His heart leapt.
She felt him stand behind
her, moving his soaked fingers around her anus, gently easing the tip of his middle
finger in. Her hips bucked backwards against him.
"Gil!"
He suddenly knew the game
was over, he couldn’t continue. He wanted to feel her body move against him.
"Sara…honey…move up on
the bed."
She quickly moved over the
footboard, whimpering as she pulled herself away from his hands.
He climbed onto the bed and
rolled her over onto her back. As soon as she saw his eyes, she knew the game
was finished. She smiled as his lips found hers and hungrily feasted upon them.
"I’m sorry Sara…I couldn’t…."
Her fingers ran through his
hair. "It’s okay…I’m not sure…how much longer I could…have
gone…either."
His mouth covered her skin,
almost desperately…kissing, sucking, and licking her flesh. He quickly made his
way down and lifted her legs, placing them on his shoulders. His tongue began a
vicious, yet beautiful, attack on her clitoris. Her body immediately began
writhing underneath him. Her hands blindly reached for his head, wrapping her
fingers in his curls as he slid his finger inside of her.
He quickly removed his
finger and gently lifted her hips, sliding his hand underneath her. His middle
finger slowly found its way inside of her as he easily slipped his thumb in from
the front. She instantly began screaming his name, not caring who, if anyone,
heard her. His eyes gazed up at her, making sure she was okay. He had never
done this before and he sure as hell didn’t want to cause her any pain. From
the look on her face, and the reaction of her body to his touches, she wasn’t
in pain. He smiled as he quickened his strokes into both orifices and increased
his pressure on her clitoris.
"God…Gil…damn…oh…you…yeah…um…oh…Gil…"
Despite his state of
arousal, he found some humor in her incoherent
ramblings. The sensation of her body wildly bucking against him, the sounds of
her moans and screams, and the fact that her hands were in his hair pulling him
closer to her were beginning to take a toll on him. He wasn’t sure that he was
going to be able to keep himself from coming with her.
Suddenly, her body shuddered
violently and the air rushed from her lungs. He felt her fluids gush out of her
and all over him. Somewhere in the deep recesses of her mind, she felt him moan
against her, bringing with it another wave of pleasure over her.
He gently pulled from her
quivering body after a few moments and slowly eased his way up to her waiting
lips. She kissed him passionately and reached for him. His hand caught hers
quickly. She broke the kiss and looked into his eyes.
"What’s…wrong?",
she heavily breathed.
He looked at her sheepishly
as he began to slowly blush. "I…uh…um…came…when, uh…you did."
She smiled as she wrapped
her arms around his neck. "You did?"
He nodded slowly. "I’m
sorry…"
She kissed him tenderly.
"Don’t be…I think it’s…sweet."
"Sweet?"
She nodded as her smile
widened. "I am worried about one thing though…"
He questioned her with his
eyes.
"Um…is that how everyone is going to pay…if they…whinny at you?"
She laughed loudly as he
gently smacked her ass and leaned over to kiss her.
He looked up from his puzzle
when she laid down on the couch, resting her feet in his lap. She smiled as she
reached for the book on the end table. He returned her smile, then returned to
his puzzle.
They were quiet for a few
moments before he looked back at her. "What are you reading?"
She peered at him over the
book, gently tapping the cover.
He chuckled. "Skeleton
Crew? And how many times are you
going to read that?"
She smiled and rubbed her
foot against him, giggling as his eyes closed. "Until I get tired of
it...asshole..."
He laughed and gently rubbed
her knee, looking into her eyes before turning back to his puzzle.
~~~~~~~~~~~
He looked up when she laid
her book on the coffee table and stood up, walking towards the door. Puzzled,
he silently questioned her. She smiled gently at him. "Doorbell."
He felt the flush rise to
his face quickly. "Oh."
She leaned down and kissed
the top of his head. "It's okay, you know?"
He merely nodded. She sighed
lightly as she headed to the door, opening it to find Catherine.
"Hey Cath." She
moved slightly to the side to allow her in the house.
Noticing her tousled hair,
Catherine smiled. "Um...I didn't interrupt anything, did I?"
Sara laughed and shook her
head. "No...I was just lying on the couch reading."
Catherine looked over at
Grissom and saw the flush in his cheeks. "Uh...you sure?"
Sara followed her gaze. She
sighed heavily, thinking about the fact that Gil hadn't heard the doorbell.
Certain frequencies were getting harder for him to hear. She could deal with
it, but it broke her heart to see him embarrassed about it. She was glad that
the doctor's appointment was getting closer. She turned back to Catherine.
"Yeah, I'm sure...come
in."
Grissom finally looked
towards the door and smiled. "Hey Cath...how are you?"
She smirked as she sat in
the chair next to the sofa. "Fine...busy night...be glad you all were
off."
Grissom laughed and glanced
towards Sara. "I am..."
Watching Sara blush made him
smile even more. Turning back to Catherine, he removed his glasses and laid his
puzzle on the table. "So...what brings you by? I know you're not here to
discuss work."
Catherine grinned.
"No...I'm not here about work." She waited to continue until Sara had
settled in beside Gil, resting her hand on his thigh. "We were talking
last night..."
Grissom cocked an eyebrow at
her. "We?"
"Yeah, you know...me, Warrick, and Nick?"
"Oh...about what?"
"The wedding." She
watched with slight amusement as Grissom and Sara stole a quick glance towards
each other. "Yeah...we were kind of curious..."
"About?"
Catherine sighed.
"Well...location, time...you know specifics. All we know is the date. It's
a week away Griss..."
"I'm well aware of that
Catherine." He smiled broadly at her.
"So??"
"St. Gabriel's on East
Maule...3 pm. Reception at the Monaco following the ceremony. Small... Nick, Warrick, Brass, Doc Robbins, Greg...and their respective
dates...you, Lindsey." He smiled as her jaw dropped slightly.
"Anything else?"
She was quiet for a moment,
gathering her thoughts. "And when were you going to tell us?"
Sara gently squeezed Gil's
thigh. Smiling, she spoke. "We were going to tell you tonight. The
arrangements weren't complete until yesterday afternoon."
"Oh." She
processed the information for a moment, before looking back at Grissom.
"St. Gabriel's? You're getting married in a Catholic church?"
He shrugged and smiled
fondly. "I promised Mom."
Catherine returned his
smile, causing Grissom to blush slightly. "So...what about the
rings?"
Sara took hold of Gil's
hand, lacing her fingers with his. "They've been ordered. In fact, we're
supposed to pick them up tomorrow."
Catherine's eyes lit up.
"Really? What do they look like?"
"They're...round."
Grissom said, with just the slightest touch of sarcasm in his voice.
"Dammit Grissom!"
Her voice was tinged with exasperation.
Gil laughed, stood, and
walked towards the bedroom.
"Where the hell is he
going?"
Sara smiled, watching Gil
turn into their room. "To get the picture..."
Gil returned a few moments
later. Saying nothing, but wearing a grin, he handed a piece of paper to
Catherine. Catherine's eyes widened and her jaw dropped as she studied the
picture. They were gorgeous...platinum bands with a thin inlay of 18 karat
gold.
"Platinum?"
He shrugged his shoulders.
"Her engagement ring is platinum. You can't have a gold wedding band with
a platinum diamond. That would just...clash."
Sara laughed loudly and
scooted closer to Gil.
Catherine shook her head
lightly, handing the picture back to Grissom. "They're beautiful."
Gil looked down at the picture,
smiling ear to ear. "Thanks." He looked back to Sara and kissed her
lips softly.
"So...St. Gabriel's, 3
pm?"
"Huh?" Breaking
his gaze with Sara, he looked back at Catherine. "Oh...yeah..."
Catherine grinned and stood
up, walking towards the door. "Okay, I'll pass along the news."
His concentration was fully
on Sara again. "Yeah, okay...see you tonight."
Catherine chuckled, closing
the door behind her.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The door had barely closed
before Gil leaned into Sara.
"You still feel like
reading?" He brushed his lips against hers.
"Mmm..."
Her tongue licked his lips. "No...I don't think so..."
He smiled and pulled her
closer. "Good." He kissed her again and then stood. "I'll be
back in a few minutes to get you."
"Where are you
going?"
He caressed her cheek.
"It's a surprise." He turned and walked down the hall, leaving her
slightly confused.
He was gone only a few
minutes, true to his word. He walked into the living room and took her hand,
grinning like the Cheshire cat.
"Gil? What are you up
to?"
He raised his eyebrows and
pulled her from the sofa. "Come on."
She followed him down the
hall and into the bathroom. She gasped when she saw the tub full of hot water
and...bubbles. "Gil..."
"I figured you'd like a
nice, relaxing bath..." He began undressing her slowly.
"Will you be joining
me?"
"Of
course...well...unless you'd rather I not..."
"You silly, silly
man." She quickly worked her way through the buttons on his shirt.
"Does this mean you'd
like me in there with you?" He inhaled sharply as she kissed his chest.
Her hand wrapped around his
neck and pulled him to her. She forcefully drove her tongue into his mouth as
she quickly unbuttoned his pants and slid them down his legs. He kicked them to
the side, gasping as she gently stroked him. Reluctantly, she broke the kiss
and carefully stepped into the tub. He smiled as he followed her, playfully
splashing the bubbles at her.
They settled into the hot
water facing one another, her legs draped casually across his. "This is a surprise."
He smiled as he lovingly
rubbed his hands along her legs. "I'm glad you like it."
She slowly slid towards him,
gradually straddling him. "Bubbles can be very erotic, you know?"
His hands snaked around her
waist. "Oh?"
"Yeah." She lifted
a handful of bubbles to his chest, gently rubbing them into his skin. His eyes
closed as she had another handful, massaging them into his neck and working
them into the hair at the nape. She leaned down and flicked her tongue across
his lips. "You have beautiful lips, you know that?"
His eyes opened slowly and
gazed into hers. His hands carefully covered her chest in bubbles before he
pulled her to him, letting his mouth suckle on her neck. He smiled against her
skin as she moaned lightly.
The combination of the hot
water, bubbles, his mouth, and his hands intensified her need for him. Her
finger traced his ear with bubbles before she leaned over and whispered to him.
"Make love to me
Gil."
He groaned as she reached
into the water and grasped him tightly as she raised her body slightly. He
looked into her eyes for a moment before running his fingers through her hair
and pulling her to him. He coaxed her tongue, almost effortlessly he noticed,
into his mouth. They moaned into each other's mouths as she slowly eased onto
him.
His hands moved to her
breasts, teasing her nipples. His head fell back against the cold tile wall as
she started moving against him. "Oh...God...Sara..."
She smiled as her eyes
closed. He began to thrust gently into her, one hand moving down to her hip.
The water splashed onto his chest, eliciting another moan from him. She was
right...bubbles...are...erotic. But, then...when was she wrong when it came to
sex? He wondered briefly about whom she had done this with before...but then
realized, it didn't really matter. She was marrying him. He smiled at the
thought, moving his other hand down to steady her movements.
He could hear water
splashing onto the tile floor of the bathroom. He didn't care.
Her mouth moved to his
shoulder, biting his flesh. He smiled against the pain. She was close. He
gripped her tighter and increased his thrusts. He could feel her tensing around
him.
"Gil...oh...Gil...yeah...like...oh...God...that...damn...love...oh..."
He smiled as she came, his
orgasm quickly following hers. She collapsed against him, sending another small
wave of water onto the floor. He gently caressed her back, placing gentle
kisses on her neck.
She slowly eased off of him
and smiled. "I told you."
He returned her smile.
"I love you."
She grinned. "You
better...you're stuck with me, you know?"
"Can't think of a
better place to be stuck."
She splashed the bubbles
across the tub at him.
They lovingly washed each
other's bodies before climbing out of the tub. He took her hand to help her
out. "Be careful." Seeing the puzzled look on her face, he continued.
"There's...water on the floor."
She smiled sheepishly.
"Sorry."
He threw a couple of towels
on the floor to soak up the water. "I'm not." He softly kissed her
lips. "Come on, let's get dressed."
"Where are we
going?"
"I thought I'd take you
out to dinner before work..."
She raised an eyebrow at
him. "What's the special occasion?"
He shrugged his shoulders
and smiled. "You're marrying me."
Sara walked into the breakroom, finding her colleagues discussing her upcoming
wedding.
"...and you should see
the rings...they are...beautiful!"
Nick looked at Catherine.
"You saw the rings?"
She shook her head. "I
saw a picture of the rings."
Nick laughed.
"Sometimes pictures can be deceiving, you know..."
Sara walked up behind Nick
and playfully smacked him in the head. "Not this time!"
"Oh...hey Sara...when
did you get here?"
She walked to the counter
and poured herself a cup of coffee and one for Grissom. "A few minutes
ago."
"What have we got
tonight?"
She looked at him and
shrugged her shoulders. "How am I supposed to know?"
He smirked at her.
"Well, you do have inside
information..."
She shook her head, laughing
lightly. "Not about work. He's the supervisor, not me..."
Grissom entered the room and
walked towards the counter, smiling when Sara handed him his mug.
"Thanks."
He surveyed the room
carefully. "What's this about 'he's the supervisor'?"
Sara laughed. "Nick
asked me about tonight's cases...he seems to think I have inside
information."
Grissom turned to Nick,
narrowing his eyes slightly. "Nick..."
Nick raised his hands in
front of his chest and stood quickly. "Hey...I just thought..."
"No...that's the
problem...you didn't think."
Nick looked to Catherine for
help. "Hey, Nicky, don't look at me..."
"Sorry, Griss...I just assumed..."
"What's one of the
first rules for a C.S.I.?"
Nick looked cautiously at
Grissom, clearly confused.
Grissom sighed as he took a
sip of his coffee. "Never assume, Nick...never."
Nick nodded wordlessly as
his face turned a light shade of red.
"Okay...cases..."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Sara followed Gil to the
Tahoe, thrilled that she was working with him tonight. He had kept true to his
word, that their personal relationship wouldn't interfere with their working
relationship. She worked with him as much as she did before, sometimes she
wished it was more...but she understood.
"Gil?"
He turned to look at her.
"Yeah?"
"You know Nick wasn't
trying to be..." She searched for the right words.
"An ass?"
She smiled lightly at him.
"Yeah...he just...thought that maybe I'd know first."
"Yeah...but you
don't."
"Look...if you were
involved with someone else, then I'd probably think she'd have prior knowledge
too."
He smiled and kissed the tip
of her nose. "Luckily for you, I'm not involved with someone else."
She smacked his arm lightly.
"Don't you think you were just a little hard on him?"
He sighed and looked into
her eyes. He knew she was right. Nick had just caught him off-guard.
"Probably."
He looked at her and cocked
an eyebrow. "Yeah, okay...maybe I was a little hard on him...I'll
apologize to him when we get back, okay?"
"Promise?"
He laughed lightly and
opened the Tahoe door for her. "Yeah, I promise."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
He found Nick in the breakroom when he returned to the lab.
"Hey...what are you
doing?"
"Waiting on
Trace." Nick didn't look up.
Grissom sat in the chair
across from him. "Nick?"
"Yeah?" He still
didn't look up.
Grissom tried to hide his
smile. "Look, Nick...I'm...sorry. I didn't mean to come down as hard as I
did on you."
Nick laid the magazine he
was reading on the table and slowly looked up at his boss. "You know I
didn't mean to..."
Grissom interrupted him.
"I know. I just...overreacted."
Nick nodded and shrugged his
shoulders. "Well...I was guilty of making an assumption."
"Nick...when Sara and
I...well, when we told all of you about our relationship, I told you all...that
it would not change our professional relationship."
"Yeah..."
"And it hasn't...Sara
and I rarely even discuss work at home..."
Nick's eyes darted nervously
around the room. "Uh...Griss...I really don't
need to hear..."
Grissom laughed. "Look,
what I'm trying to say is that...when I hand out the assignments, that's when
Sara knows what we have." His eyes locked on Nick's. "It's important
to me that you understand that."
Nick tried to look away, but
couldn't. "Griss...I'm sorry..."
"No...I'm sorry. It was
natural for you to assume something like that. I was too hard on you. I
apologize."
Nick smiled.
"Okay..."
Grissom stood and laughed
lightly. "Now...get back to work."
Nick returned his laughter.
"Yes, sir."
Grissom blushed lightly as
he left the room.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
He found Sara hunched over a
microscope. He smiled. He loved to watch her work. He walked quietly behind her
and slid his arms around her waist, resting his chin on her shoulder.
"Find anything?"
She jumped. "Dammit
Gil...don't sneak up on me like that!"
His smile widened as she
relaxed in his arms and leaned back against his chest.
"Did you talk to
Nick?"
He pressed a soft kiss onto
her neck. "Mm-hm...everything's fine." She turned to look at him.
"I apologized to him."
She smiled and swivelled her
stool around to face him. "Good."
She placed a light kiss on
his lips.
He pulled back slightly and
looked at her. "You know we're at work, right?"
She chuckled. "Yeah,
so?"
"Well...we were in my
office last time...with the door locked, blinds closed. We're in...uh...the lab
right now."
She wrapped her arms around
his neck and pulled him to her. "That's what I love about you...you're so
observant."
"Sara..."
Her lips touched his and
opened slightly, her tongue gently teasing his lips. He responded to the kiss
slowly, but soon found himself with his tongue in her mouth and his arms
pulling her into his body.
Her left hand rested lightly
on the back of his neck, the fingers of her right hand were gently combing
through his hair above his ear. He could feel himself quickly hardening as her
nails scraped against his skin.
He slowly broke the kiss and
stood back to look at her. She smiled as she stood as well, running her finger
down his chest before she hopped onto the table. Grabbing his hand, she gently
pulled him to her, positioning him between her legs.
"Sara...we can't...not
here..." His hands moved to the small of her back.
"Gil...I'm not asking
you to fuck me...just kiss me...okay?" Her hands found their way back to
his head, pulling him back to her.
"Sara..."
He could say no more as his
mouth hungrily covered hers, his tongue invading her mouth once more. He could
feel her nipples straining against the thin fabric covering them. He could feel
the heat between her legs radiating onto him. He moaned into her mouth.
Their kiss progressed. They
had forgotten where they were. They had forgotten that anyone could walk in.
They were completely wrapped up in each other. They hadn't heard the footsteps
walking into the lab and suddenly stopping.
"Oh...Jesus...why don't
you just find a room somewhere?"
Grissom instantly broke the
kiss and jumped back from Sara...as if that would make the intruder think she
had imagined what she had just seen.
Catherine laughed when the
both of them began to blush heavily.
Grissom couldn't speak. Sara
was the first to utter a word.
"Cath...we
just...uh...were looking at..."
Catherine shook her head and
laughed harder. "You two are so cute...like a couple of teenagers who
can't get enough of each other...but...you do
know this is the lab, right?"
Grissom cleared his throat
and smiled sheepishly at Catherine. Noticing the envelope in her hand, he tried
his best to change the subject. "What...um...what do you have there?"
Catherine looked down at the
envelope. She had forgotten entirely about it. "Oh...it's a report on our
DB...bugs...thought you could help me out with it?"
Grissom nodded quickly.
"Yeah, sure." He looked back at Sara and smiled before gently kissing
her cheek. "You are in trouble..."
She grinned at him as he
walked away. "Promise?"
His laughter echoed in the
room as he walked to his office with Catherine.
"Where are you
going?" He called to her as she ran down the hall to their room.
"I'll be right
back!" He heard the bedroom door close.
He shook his head and took a
seat on the couch, flipping the TV on to the Discovery Channel.
He checked the clock and
sighed. Walking into the kitchen to find something to drink, he wondered what
she was doing. Normally, if she ran straight to the bedroom when they walked in
the door, she wanted him in there with her. He grabbed a bottle of water and
headed back to the living room.
He heard the bedroom door
open and tilted his head to look down the hall. She walked into the living room
with a devilish grin on her face. "What are you doing?"
"Well...if you want to
know...you have to come with me." She turned and began walking back down
the hall slowly.
He quickly stood, turning
the television off, and followed her.
He entered their room and
smiled. The only light was from the many candles she had lit, the bed was
turned down, and she was undressing him. "What's the special
occasion?"
"I love you."
He smiled as she finished
removing his clothes and began shedding her own.
Once she had rid herself of
her clothing, she took his hand and led him to the bed, pushing him gently onto
it. He smiled as he shifted slightly, placing his head on the pillows. She
crawled up the bed and moved over him, sitting gently on his thighs.
He let his hands slide up
her legs and rest on her hips. She smiled widely at him before gently smacking
his hands. She took his hands and placed them above his head. "No
touching..."
He licked his lips.
"What?"
She leaned over and kissed
his lips softly. "No...touching..."
He looked into her eyes and
smiled. "Uh..."
She raised her eyebrows at
him and grinned. Leaning back down, she began placing gentle kisses over his
neck and collarbone. He fought to keep his hands where they were. She was in
control right now, and though he almost hated to admit it...he liked it.
Her mouth moved slowly down
his chest as she slid her body between his legs. Her breasts rested on his
upper thighs as she swirled her tongue around his navel. His eyes closed and he
wrapped his fingers around the spindles in the headboard. She looked up at him
and smiled as she continued.
Her tongue wrapped around
his erection, teasing him. He moaned. She gently blew a puff of cool air from
her mouth against him. He groaned. Her tongue ran across his testicles briefly
before she carefully pulled one into her mouth and sucked it lightly. He
tightened his grasp on the headboard and inhaled sharply.
"Sara..."
Her tongue returned to his
erection, licking it before pulling him into her mouth. His head fell against
the pillows. His knuckles were quickly turning white. He involuntarily thrust
slightly into her mouth. She placed her hands on his hips as she took his
entire length into her mouth. Her teeth gently scraped against his sensitive
flesh.
"Oh...God..."
She opened her eyes and
looked at him. She reached up and gently ran her nails across his nipple as she
increased her pressure on him. He moaned loudly. He was growing quickly in her
mouth. She knew if she kept this up, it wouldn't be much longer. Though she
loved the taste of him, she didn't want him to come just yet. She slowly pulled
her mouth from him, smiling as she heard him whimper lightly.
Her tongue retraced its path
back up to his neck. She could feel his heart pounding underneath her. He
swallowed hard as she sucked his earlobe into her mouth and gently nibbled on
it. She felt him release his hold on the headboard and she quickly sat up,
looking him in the eyes.
"No." She
purred...knowing that it drove him crazy when she purred.
"Please...Sara..."
She shook her head lightly
and smiled. "No."
His hands grasped the sheets
tightly as she continued her assault on his flesh. Her lips finally brushed
against his. His tongue pushed its way into her mouth. She ground her hips
against him. He could feel her erect nipples pressing into his chest. She felt
the rumble in his chest as he groaned into her mouth.
She broke the kiss slowly,
sitting back up. His blue eyes shone with passion. She smiled and reached for the
candle sitting on the nightstand. It slowly occurred to him that she was
holding a lit candle in her hand, she was sitting on him, she was grinding
against him...and she was grinning.
"What...are
you...doing?"
"You've
never...had...wax?"
He shook his head and a look
of panic clouded his eyes. "Sara?"
"Relax, baby..."
"Um...won't
that...hurt?"
She tilted the candle slowly
over his chest. "If it does...I'll stop...but...I think...you'll...enjoy
it..."
He watched as the drop of
wax seemed to fall in slow motion towards his skin. His mouth opened slowly to
protest, but his words never emerged.
"Ah..." His eyes
closed and his hands quickly hit the headboard.
A brief sting, her hands
rubbing the warm wax into his skin...his breathing became erratic. She allowed
another drop to land right below the first. He moaned. A third drop, followed
quickly by a fourth. She slowly made her way down to his navel, leaving a path
of wax in her wake. He was moaning constantly now, his back arching slightly.
"Oh...Sara...that..."
She smiled as she returned
the candle to the nightstand. She quickly covered his mouth with hers.
"Did it hurt?"
He shook his head
wordlessly. She could see the degree of arousal in his eyes.
"Touch me Gil..."
His hands quickly went to
her face, pulling her down to him. His kiss was animalistic,
desperate...passionate. He quickly rolled them over until he was on top of her.
She ran her fingers down his chest, feeling the heat from the wax on his skin.
He pulled her nipple into his
mouth, rolling it gently between his teeth. It was her turn to moan now. His
fingers pressed against her clit, carefully pinching it. Her nails dug into his
shoulders. He easily slid two fingers inside of her, groaning at the amount of
fluid he found there. He moved slowly at first...watching as her head rolled to
the side and she cried out his name.
He felt she was close and
pulled his fingers from her, grinning at her cry. She opened her eyes and
watched as he sucked her juices from his fingers. Her hands wound themselves in
his hair, pulling him down. She drove her tongue into his mouth, moaning at the
taste of herself on his tongue.
She pulled from him and
stared into his eyes. "Fuck me...please...fuck me."
He grinned and plunged
himself into her quickly, taking her hands in his own. He moved forcefully,
purposely. Her legs were wrapped tightly around him, pulling him further into
her. She laced her fingers with his, tightening her grip. Her head flew back
against the pillows. She was writhing underneath him, moving her hips to meet
his thrusts.
She bit her bottom lip, her
eyes clenched shut. He increased his pace, slamming his body against hers. Her
mouth opened and screamed his name. He smiled as he felt her tense around him,
her fluid oozing onto the sheets.
His orgasm quickly followed
hers, his head tilted back, it was his turn to scream her name. His spent body
fell gently on top of her. She released his hands and ran her fingers through
his hair as he murmured something incoherent against her neck.
He slowly moved off of her
and pulled her to him. Her head rested on his shoulder.
When their breathing had
calmed, he turned to her. "Sara?"
"Hmm?"
"How do you get cold
wax off of skin?"
She laughed and pressed her
lips to his.
She came home from work to
find him sitting quietly on the couch. The house was dark, the only light
coming from the aquarium in the corner of the room.
She smiled, happy he was
awake. She had been anxious to get home since she left for work.
"Hey."
He slowly raised a glass to
his lips. Her smile faded as her eyes found the mostly empty bottle of liquor
on the coffee table.
"Gil?"
He silently set his glass
down and refilled it.
She made her way to the sofa
and sat beside him. Her eyes focused on the table briefly, seeing the photo
album resting there.
She gently touched his arm
and her voice lowered to a whisper. "Baby?"
His eyes slowly turned
towards her. He offered a weak smile, but said nothing.
She gently caressed his
face. She was worried, she had never seen him like this. "Honey...what's
wrong?"
He took a deep breath and
looked towards the photo album. She followed his eyes and gently picked the
album up. She opened it to a picture of a smiling man holding a baby. Slowly,
she flipped through the pages and felt her heart aching for Gil.
She looked up as he set his
glass on the table and then eased back onto the couch. He softly cleared his
throat before he spoke.
"I...I'm sorry
Sara."
She returned the album to
the table and took his hand. "For what?"
He took a deep breath and
gently squeezed her hand. "I...uh...I'm drunk...I'm sorry."
"What's wrong?"
He looked at her briefly
before releasing her hand and slowly standing. He picked up his glass and
staggered into the kitchen, letting the glass drop into the sink. She quietly
followed him, pulling out the chair across from him as he slumped into a chair
at the table.
"Gil...honey, talk to
me."
"It's been forty
years", he said slowly.
She reached across the table
and took his hand. He looked at her through his glassy eyes. Even through his
intoxication, he was able to read her silent question. "Since...uh...since
my...father...left us."
She squeezed his hand and
rubbed her thumb across his palm. "I was...6 years old. Mom couldn't hear
anymore...and he left me...us. He just left." He lifted his eyes to see
her tears. "He...couldn't deal with Mom's...disability. He said that I...I
would be deaf one day too...he didn't want a deaf child or a deaf wife. So...he
left."
A single tear escaped his
eye, but his voice didn't falter. "Forty years...and now his only child is
slowly going deaf."
"Gil...look at
me." She waited until his eyes met hers. She gently ran her fingers
through his hair. "You know I'll never leave you."
He bit his lip and took a
deep breath. "Sara...our children..."
She quietly interrupted him.
"Will be beautiful...will be loved unconditionally...will always have
us."
He smiled at her, wishing
that he hadn't had so much to drink. "I love you Sara."
She stood up and took two
steps to stand beside him. Leaning down, she gently kissed his cheek. "I
love you too." She took his hand. "Come on...let's go to bed."
He nodded slowly and stood,
allowing her to help him to the bedroom.
She was able to get him
undressed rather easily and settled him in the bed. She removed her own clothes
and slid in beside of him.
She kissed his lips tenderly
and curled up in his arms, placing her arm over him protectively.
"Sara?"
She looked up at him.
"Yeah?"
"I know I'm drunk...and
I know what you'll probably say..." He sighed lightly and ran his fingers
through her hair. "Will you make love with me?"
She shifted slightly and propped
herself up on her elbow. "Gil..."
"Sara...I need you...I
need you to make love with me...please..."
His hands clumsily wrapped
around her waist and pulled her on top of him. "Please, Sara..."
She leaned down to kiss him.
She could taste the alcohol on his tongue. She could feel him slowly growing
underneath her. She knew this wasn't the perfect situation for them to be
making love...but she also knew that he needed reassurance. And...it wasn't
like she had never had sex with a drunken man before. But...this was different. She wasn't in love
with the ones before...she was in love with Gil.
She moved her mouth to his
neck, letting her tongue gently lick his flesh. Her battle within herself was
still going on strong. His arms wrapped around her tightly, holding her against
his chest. His trembling fingers gently caressed her back. He moved his head
slightly, sucking her earlobe into his mouth. His hands slowly moved to her
ass, kneading her flesh. She rocked her hips subconsciously against him. He moaned
lightly into her ear.
"Sara...you feel...so
good...I love you...so much."
She felt his erection
pressing against her. She raised her hips slightly, allowing him to enter her.
She moaned softly as he slid against her inner wall. His hands moved to her
hips as his eyes closed. He could feel his pain slowly leave his heart as she
gently moved against him.
"Gil...um..."
"Sara...I'm
so...sorry...oh..."
Her mouth covered his, her
tongue lovingly caressing his. She felt him swell inside of her and she
quickened her strokes...urging him to come. Surprisingly, she felt her own
orgasm building.
His hands moved back to her
ass as he thrust his hips against her. "Gil...oh...I...so close...Gil...so
close..."
His hand gently moved to
caress her breast. He swallowed hard, trying to find his breath. They cried out
in unison as their orgasms crashed over them. He held her tightly to his chest
as he slipped out of her.
She placed a gentle kiss on
his neck before moving off of him and curling up beside of him. His arms
encircled her. She heard his breath catch in his chest.
"Are you okay?"
He nodded slowly.
"Thank you."
She smiled lightly, her
heart still aching for him. "You never have to thank me for loving you,
Gil."
He pressed his lips against
her forehead and pulled her closer.
Quickly, he fell into an
alcohol-induced sleep.
She gently caressed his face
and ran her fingers through his soft curls. She laid there for hours...just
watching him sleep.
Eventually, exhaustion lured
her into her own slumber.
He awoke to a sun-filled
room. He blinked his eyes slowly, waiting for the pain to hit. Oddly enough, it
didn't. He was surprised, considering the amount of alcohol he had ingested the
night before. He rolled his head to the left and frowned...she wasn't there. He
worried that maybe last night he had pushed her into doing something she really
didn't want. He wasn't sure if he'd be able to do the same for her, if the
situations were reversed. He'd feel that he would be taking advantage of her.
He sighed heavily and eased out of bed.
He found her in the kitchen,
humming softly to herself and staring intently at the toaster. He stood and
watched her for a few moments, trying to find the right words to say.
Softly he spoke.
"Hey."
She flinched slightly,
clearly startled. She turned to look at him. He noticed with relief that she
was smiling. "Good afternoon."
He walked into the kitchen
and leaned against the counter. "What are you doing?"
The toaster clicked. She
turned from his gaze briefly to place two pieces of toast on a plate.
"Making you some toast."
She turned back to him.
"How do you feel?"
He smiled, then averted his
eyes to the window. "Fine...it's a beautiful day..."
She placed the plate on the
table and poured him a cup of coffee. "Yes it is...no headache?"
He shook his head slowly,
pulling the chair out and sitting down. "No...really, I feel fine."
She smiled warmly at him at
sat down beside of him. She noticed his eyes surveying the table. "Need
anything?"
He grinned at her.
"Um...jelly?"
She leaned over and kissed
his cheek. "Wasn't sure if you'd be able to handle jelly today..."
She stood and walked back to the refrigerator, grabbing the bottle of his favorite breakfast condiment and placing it before him.
He waited for her to sit
back down. He spread the jelly across the toast, and softly cleared his throat.
He looked back into her eyes and took a deep breath. "Sara...I'm sorry
about last night."
She gently rubbed the back
of his head. "It's okay...you were upset, I understand that. You just
worried me at first. I've never come home to you as...intoxicated...as you were
last night."
He tilted his head back
towards her hand, enjoying the feel of her fingers in his hair. He sighed.
"I'm sorry about that too...but I was talking about...after we went to
bed."
"Gil..."
He began to slowly shake his
head. "No...I pressured you into something you didn't really want. I'm so
sorry, Sara."
"You didn't..."
He turned his head to look
at her.
"You needed reassurance
last night. I wanted to...reassure you. You don't need to worry about me
leaving. I needed to show that to you."
He swallowed nervously and
raised his hand to her cheek. "I love you."
She smiled and leaned into
him. "I love you too." She placed a tender kiss on his lips.
"Now...eat your toast."
He smiled and took a bite.
He chewed slowly and swallowed before looking back at her. "I'll make it
up to you."
She grinned at him and ran
her fingers through his hair. "Oh...I know you will."
He blushed lightly and
finished his toast.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
He took a quick shower as
she washed the dishes. He rested his hands against the wall under the
showerhead and tilted his head down, allowing the hot water to flow down his
back. He breathed deeply as he felt the tension leave his body. He silently
cursed his father one last time as he felt his remaining pain slowly release
him.
He raised his head and
smiled, thankful that Sara understood. He still didn't feel right about what
had happened, but he did promise that he'd make it up to her. A promise he
fully intended to keep.
He rinsed the remaining
shampoo from his hair and turned off the water. He didn't even bother to dry
off. Instead, choosing to just wrap the towel around his wet body. He grinned
as he left the bathroom in search of her.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
He found her in the bedroom,
tucking the clean sheets around the mattress. He went to her and wrapped his
arms around her, pulling her back into his chest.
"Gil!! You're
wet!"
He laughed and kissed her
neck. "Mm-hm...are you?"
She turned in his arms and
grinned at him. "Not yet."
His fingers brushed through
her hair. "Well...maybe I can change that..."
She licked the water drops
from his chest. "I'm sure you can."
She leaned back in his arms
and pulled her shirt over her head. His hands settled on the small of her back
as he bent his head slightly and pressed his lips against her throat. She
shivered lightly as a drop of water fell from his hair and landed on her chest.
His mouth followed the drop as it gently rolled down her breast.
She gasped as his tongue
teased her nipple before gently sucking it into his mouth. His hand moved to
her other breast, rolling the nipple between his thumb and index finger. She
tried to pull the towel from him, but he wouldn't move. She settled for
wrapping his wet curls around her fingers and holding him tightly to her...for
the time being.
He gently moved forwards,
pushing her backwards, towards the bed. Feeling the mattress touch her legs,
she quickly pulled from him and sat down...taking the opportunity to jerk the
towel from him. She dropped the damp towel to the floor and grasped his hips
tightly. She looked up at him and smiled briefly before hungrily engulfing him.
His hands landed on her
shoulders. He watched her lips leisurely slide back and forth, slowly taking
his entire length into her mouth. His eyes closed and he moaned as her hand
cupped his testicles and gently squeezed them. His hands tightened their hold
on her shoulders as he slowly began to thrust into her mouth.
She pulled off of him and
looked up at him, smiling as she placed a gentle kiss on the glans. He returned
her smile as she scooted back to the middle of the bed. He climbed onto the
mattress and knelt beside of her. He moved over her and hooked his fingers in
the sides of her panties.
He gazed into her eyes as he
slowly slid them down her legs and tossed them in the floor. Lowering his head
to her, he smiled as her body arched to his tongue. He teased her, flicking his
tongue across her clit until she was moaning. He allowed his tongue to enter
her, quickly plunging into her. He continued his assault until he heard the
words from her.
"Oh...God...please..."
He smiled and quickly made
his way up her body, planting kisses here and there on her skin. He plunged his
tongue into her mouth and moaned as she sucked it greedily. Her legs wrapped
around his waist as she pushed him over, rolling him onto his back.
She quickly impaled herself
on him, bringing a rumbling groan from him. His hands held her hips, rising and
falling with her as she rode him.
His head fell back against
the pillows and he licked his lips. His eyes flew open when she suddenly
stopped her movements. Puzzled, he looked at her.
"Phone..."
"Machine...will
get...it..." He failed to see the mischief in her eyes.
"Answer it...could
be...important."
He looked at pleadingly.
"Go on..."
He sighed heavily, trying to
control his breathing. He blindly reached for the phone on the nightstand.
He took a deep breath.
"Grissom..."
"Hey, Griss...it's Catherine."
"Hey..." His eyes
widened as Sara slowly began to grind against him.
His hand flew to her hip,
trying to hold her still but she was having none of it. He bit his lip to
stifle his moan. He was vaguely aware that Catherine was rambling on about
something.
"What?" His hand
moved from her hip and grasped the sheet tightly as he thrust against her.
"Do you think you could
bring it to work tonight?"
Sara quickened her motion,
grinning widely as he held the phone away from his ear. He moaned lightly,
before remembering that Catherine had just asked a question.
He pulled the phone back to
his ear.
"Griss?"
"Yeah..."
"Did you hear me?"
"Uh...no...I...I
didn't..." It wasn't a lie.
"I asked if you could
bring it to work tonight..."
"Oh...uh...yeah...sure."
"Okay, thanks."
"Uh-huh...anything
else?"
"No...that's it...I'll
see you tonight."
"Okay, bye."
He quickly hung the phone up
and tossed it on the bed.
***
Catherine hung up the phone
on her end...wondering briefly if she had interrupted something. She shook her
head, dismissing the thought, and continued the process of making Lindsey's
dinner.
***
Sara was giggling, thinking
the entire situation was much funnier than he obviously did.
He quickly grabbed her and
flipped her over so that he was on top of her. "Evil...evil woman..."
He increased the force of
his strokes, slamming against her. When her giggles quickly turned into
moans...he smiled. She screamed his name as her orgasm overtook her. He leaned
down and gently bit her shoulder as he came inside of her.
They held each other for a
few moments before he repositioned himself beside her. When their breathing had
calmed enough for them to speak, Sara turned to him and smiled.
"Who was on the
phone?"
"Huh?
Oh...Catherine."
Another giggle escaped her
lips. "What did she want?"
"For me to bring
something to work tonight."
She cocked an eyebrow at
him. "What does she want you to bring?"
He laughed. "I...uh...I
have no idea..."
Their laughter filled the
bedroom.
The ride to work was a quiet
one. A little too quiet for her liking.
"Gil?"
He snapped out of his
thoughts and looked at her. "Yeah?"
"Something wrong?"
He smiled sheepishly.
"No...I was just trying to figure out how to tell Catherine that I have no
idea what she wanted me to bring without her figuring out what was going
on..."
She giggled lightly.
"Well...you could tell her that you just forgot..."
He gave her a sideways
glance and smirked. "Uh-huh, I'm sure that would work."
She shrugged her shoulders.
"Or...I could ask her..."
His eyes squinted in
concentration. "Yeah...but why wouldn't I tell you?"
She thought for a moment.
"Well...I was in the shower, and it slipped your mind?"
He nodded slowly. "It
could work..."
He pulled into his parking
space and killed the engine. His fingers tapped nervously on the steering wheel.
She shook her head lightly
and touched his arm. "Come on...we'll play it by ear..."
"Sara...I don't play
things by ear...I have to have everything planned...you know that."
She grinned at him.
"You don't plan everything...I
know that...and besides, do you have a better idea?"
He sighed heavily, shaking
his head. "No..."
"So, come on."
He chuckled nervously and
opened the car door.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
He quickly handed out the
assignments, putting Sara and Catherine with him. So far, so good, he thought to himself. He excused himself from the
room, using a quick meeting with Brass as his reason.
"I'll catch up with you
two in a few minutes, okay?"
Sara nodded. "Sure, you
know where we'll be."
He turned and quickly began
walking down the hall. He stopped when he heard Catherine's voice.
"Grissom?"
He turned to look at her,
with a mock-puzzled look on his face. Sara was able to stifle the laugh. He
stood there for a moment, just looking at Catherine. "Damn...I
forgot...I'm sorry, Catherine."
His eyes shifted to Sara.
"Sara, can you stop by the house later?"
She nodded, feigning
confusion. "Sure...why?"
He began walking backwards
down the hall. "I was supposed to bring something to Catherine tonight...I
forgot all about it."
"Okay...no problem...what
is it?"
He quickly turned the
corner, avoiding the question successfully.
Sara turned to Catherine and
laughed lightly. "What was he supposed to bring?"
Catherine rolled her eyes.
"I asked him if I could borrow one of his textbooks...I'm helping Lindsey
with a class project on ladybugs." She chuckled and turned to Sara.
"You know, sometimes I think he'd forget his head if it wasn't
attached."
Sara laughed loudly and
began walking down the hall. She smiled to herself. They had actually pulled it
off this time.

Grissom arrived at the scene
a few minutes after Sara and Catherine. He quickly walked up to them, pulling
on his gloves. He looked at Sara and smiled when she nodded slightly. Breathing
a sigh of relief, he got to work.

It had been a very long
night. All Sara wanted to do was go home and climb into bed. She was exhausted
and her muscles were aching. Greg finally had the DNA analysis finished, now
she needed to find Grissom. She glanced at her watch. No wonder she was
tired...they were already an hour late leaving.
She bumped into Grissom as
he was leaving Trace. Looking down at her hands and seeing the folder she was
carrying, he smiled. "Finally..."
She sighed heavily.
"Yeah...Greg was pretty backed up tonight. Are you finished?"
He nodded. "Yeah, until
tonight. Ready to go home?"
"More than ready...I'm
exhausted."
They walked towards his
office, discussing the case, when Ecklie rounded the
corner.
He smirked smugly at them.
"Well, if it isn't the reigning King and Queen of Graveyard."
Grissom stopped and glared
at him. "And that's supposed to mean what, Conrad?"
He chuckled. Grissom fought
the urge to hit him. "Did you think I wouldn't find out?"
Grissom continued his glare.
"What?"
"The two of you...your
upcoming nuptials? You can't hide something like that forever, you
know..."
Grissom took a deep breath,
trying to keep his anger in check. "We weren't hiding anything...we just
didn't see that it was any of your business."
He shifted his eyes towards
Sara. "You know...you could've done much better."
Grissom gently took hold of
Sara's elbow as she attempted to take a step forward. He could hold her arm,
but he couldn't hold her mouth.
"Ecklie...you
know, I've really been meaning to thank you."
His eyes narrowed in
confusion. "Oh? For what?"
She crossed her arms across
her chest and stared at him. "For being such an ass."
Ecklie's jaw dropped slightly. Grissom cleared his
throat softly, successfully suppressing the laugh.
"Excuse me?"
She nodded quickly.
"Yeah...I mean, if you weren't such an ass then you wouldn't have received
a bomb threat."
She watched his face turn
red as she continued. "And if the unit hadn't been shut down for that night
then our relationship may not have happened." She could see the anger in Ecklie's eyes. "So...thank you for being an ass."
She turned her head towards
Grissom and smiled. "You ready to go home?"
He smiled widely at her and
nodded. They walked briskly past Ecklie towards the
door. "Have a good day, Conrad."
Ecklie stormed to his office, muttering lowly to
himself.

He opened the car door for
her and smiled as she climbed in. He shut the door and quickly walked to his
side. Climbing in, he looked at her and grinned.
She met his eyes and smiled.
"Sorry about that."
He laughed. "Don't
be...I thought you were great."
She breathed deeply and took
his hand. "He just pisses me off, you know?"
He nodded, his grin
widening. She tilted her head, confusion showing in her eyes. "What?"
"You were
wrong..."
"Huh?"
"You were wrong...you
said that our relationship might not have happened." He licked his lips
and leaned into her. "It just might not have started that night." He
traced her lips with his tongue before kissing her.
Her hand squeezed his thigh
as she responded to his kiss. Sighing happily against his mouth, she opened her
eyes. "Can we go home now?"
He smiled and touched his
lips to hers once more. "Yeah."
