Part XI
She draped her legs over his
shoulders as his tongue entered her. His hands were softly running up and down
her sides, caressing her skin.. Her left hand gripped the cushion as he slowly
made love to her with his mouth. He knew that if he moved his mouth slightly
that she would climax almost immediately. But, that's not what he wanted. He
wanted to take his time. He didn't want to rush anything with her. God knows he
had taken long enough to admit his feelings for her to her. He smiled as he
listened to her voice.
"Grissom....oh
God....umm...." He smiled at her nearly incoherent moans, although he
understood every word of what she was trying to say.
Her right hand was wound
tightly in his hair, desperately trying to pull him to that one spot that would
grant her release. Her hips were grinding slow circles against him. He wouldn't
budge, still plunging his tongue inside of her as far as he could. He was
waiting. He would know when the time was right. The time was almost there.
"God Griss...umm.....please, please...."
He quickly moved his mouth
slightly and sucked her clitoris into his mouth. Kissing it passionately,
sucking it gently. He felt her body shudder violently as her orgasm crashed
over her, washing over his face. She was screaming his name. She slowly calmed,
but he stayed where he was. Gently kissing her thighs, caressing her skin,
feeling her body tremble with aftershocks.
Her voice was low and
breathless. "Griss?"
His eyes slowly met hers.
"Griss...please..."
He moved up her body and
kissed her. Savoring the tastes on each other's
tongues that now were mingling together. Their skin, coated in a thin layer of
sweat, clung to one another. He lovingly caressed her body, holding her close
to him.
"I love you Sara."
Her mouth found that spot
just below his ear that drove him crazy. She quietly whispered, "I love
you too." before her teeth nipped at his skin.
He exhaled deeply and a
quiet moan escaped him. "Oh Sara..."
Her need for him at that
moment was animalistic. She loved the way he made love to her, but right
now...she needed him to fuck her. She reached up and grabbed his head, pulling
him down to her.
Moving her mouth to his ear,
she growled, "Fuck me Gil."
He looked into her eyes, not
sure of what he heard. She ran her nails down his chest and returned the gaze
into his eyes. "Fuck me."
He leaned down to kiss her,
his tongue brutally invading her mouth. He pulled back a little and looked at
her. "Are you sure?"
Her desire for him was
clearly on display as she answered him. "Yes!"
His hands found her hips and
pulled her closer to him on the cushions. She silently lifted her right leg and
placed it on his shoulder. He turned his head to the left and gently nipped at
her ankle with his teeth. She wanted him to fuck her. He could make love to her
all day and all night, but what if he hurt her? What if he became too forceful?
He looked back to her eyes and she read his questions.
"Please, Gil...."
She lifted her hips and felt his hands slip under her ass pulling her up to
him.
In one fluid motion, he was
inside of her. He pulled back, and lunged into her again. And again. Her nails
clawed at his chest, her left leg made it way around his waist, pulling him
farther into her.
"Harder,
Gil...harder."
He gave into her, there was
nothing he wouldn't do for her. He fucked her. His body slamming into hers with
a force he wasn't even sure existed. He felt her orgasm rush over her, heard
her crying out his name, he was sure this was a dream. He...Gil
Grissom...fucking her...Sara Sidle? There's no way. Even as her moans became
louder as another orgasm came over her, he couldn't believe it. His moans were
almost as loud as hers as he released his semen deep within her. He collapsed
on top of her, their breathing erratic.
She gently lifted his face
and looked into his eyes. Tenderly, she kissed his lips. "Thank you."
She read the confusion in
his eyes and stroked his cheek. "Thank you for loving me, Gil. Thank you
for trusting me enough to do that."
“I'd do anything for you,
Sara. Anything." He brushed her wet hair out of her eyes and pulled her in
for a kiss. "Sidle?"
"Hm?"
"I think we need
another shower."
With their second shower in
less than 8 hours out of the way, they redressed once again. He glanced at the
clock, which now read 5:30. "Are you hungry?"
"Starving."
"Well, come on. I'll
fix us dinner before we have to go to work."
"Ugh...work is a four letter
word tonight."
"So is 'fuck', but you
didn't have any trouble saying that." He grinned broadly at her.
"Well, no...but that
was something I wanted to do. I don't want to go to work tonight."
He sighed and took her hand
in his. "If it's any consolation...I don't either." He gently kissed
her lips and led her into the kitchen. He placed a bottle of water in front of
her and noticed the odd look in her eyes. "Um, you need fluids...you lost
quite a bit."
His smile was blinding her,
but she didn't mind. Opening the bottle, she took a large swallow and then
handed it to him. "I believe you lost some too."
He laughed and took a hearty
drink before getting dinner started.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
As they sat down to eat, he
could tell that something was on her mind. "You okay?"
"Yeah, I was just
wondering something."
"What's that,
honey?"
Her eyes met his and she
smiled at the term of endearment. "Well...um...you didn't want to, did
you?"
"Want to what?"
"Fuck me earlier."
He blushed slightly and took
another drink of his water. "Well, it's not that I didn't want
to...." He took a deep breath. "It's just...well...I was afraid that
I might hurt you. I didn't want to get too forceful or anything."
"You didn't hurt me
Gil."
He blushed again.
"Yeah, I kinda figured that out." He looked into her eyes. "I
don't mind fucking you...but I prefer making love to you."
Now it was her turn to
blush. "It's just...well, every once in a while...not often at
all..."
"Just promise me it won't
be an every day event. I don't think I could do that every day."
"Why?"
He let out a half-chuckle, a
nervous chuckle...hoping she would understand his next statement.
"Because, Sara...I love you too much to fuck you."
Her grin said it all.
"And I love you too much to ask you to fuck me very often."
His grin mirrored hers and
he leaned over for a kiss.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
He glanced at the clock in
the living room. "6:30...almost time to leave." He sounded
disappointed.
"You okay?"
He looked up at her and
smiled. "I'm always okay when I'm with you."
"So...what do we do
about work tonight?"
"What do you
mean?"
"I mean...do we tell
them or let them figure it out?"
A mischievous grin spread
across his face. "I say, we let them figure it out."
"Will I be working with
you tonight?"
"I've been thinking
about that. Nick's off tonight. I thought I might put you with Warrick, and I'd work with Catherine. See who says what,
you know?"
She grinned at him. "Okay...so,
answer their questions truthfully?"
"Of course. Just...make
sure it stays on graveyard. I mean, we're not breaking any rules, but why give Ecklie any ammunition."
She smiled and settled in on
the couch beside of him, resting her head against his chest. She loved
listening to his heartbeat. She wrapped her arms around him and tilted her face
to his, pulling him into a passionate kiss.
"Mmm...Sara...if
we don't stop now, we'll be late for work."
She laughed and stood,
pulling him up with her. "Okay, okay...it's just..."
"What?"
"You're
irresistible."
He pulled her body close to
his and kissed her. "So are you." With a heavy sigh, he took her hand
and began leading her to the door. "Come on...it's time...."
She pouted for a second
until he raised his eyebrow at her and laughed. "Sara?"
"Yeah?"
"Will you stay with me
tonight?"
She felt her heart leap.
"Well, yeah...but, I don't have any clothes here."
"That's okay." He
looked into her eyes and read her thoughts. "Um...what I mean is...we can
stop and pick some up for you."
She laughed.
"Okay...whatever...."
They rode to work in a
comfortable silence, their hands in each other's. He pulled into his parking
space and killed the engine. She reached for the handle, but he pulled her back
to him. "Sara?"
She looked into his eyes and
smiled. Leaning over to him, she kissed him gently. "I love you Gil."
"I love you too. Be
careful tonight, okay?"
"Only if you are."
Another quick kiss and they
were on their way inside.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
He walked into the break
room to find Catherine and Warrick already there.
"Hey guys."
"Hey...." Catherine
and Warrick exchanged a look.
Sara walked in and Grissom
quickly looked up. "Hey Sara, how are you this evening?"
She could see the smile in
his eyes and answered with one of her own. "Wonderful...you?"
He simply nodded and pulled
out the assignment sheets. After assigning Warrick
and Sara to a car accident with a fatality and Catherine and himself to a
kidnapping, he quickly walked out the door and headed to his office.
Sara poked her head in just
before she left. "Psst."
He looked up and smiled.
"Psst yourself."
She mouthed the words
"I love you" and returned his smile.
"I love you too...be
careful and I'll see you in a few hours, okay?"
"Okay." She blew
him a kiss and started out the door.
"Sara?" She turned
back to see that devilish grin on his face. "Have fun, okay?"
She returned his grin.
"I will...you too babe." Then she was gone.
His smile grew wider as he
made his way out to the Tahoe where Catherine was waiting.
"What the hell is up
with you tonight?"
He laughed...a sincere
laugh, she noticed. "Nothing...what the hell is up with you?"
Confused, she just shook her
head and climbed in. After he climbed in as well, she looked at him. "Griss?"
"Yeah?"
"I will get it out of you, you know?"
He grinned at her. "May
not be much of a fight to get it out of me tonight."
Seeing the confusion grow,
he chuckled. "Let's go...."
Catherine was getting ready
to badger him with questions. She had an idea of what was going on...she was a
trained investigator, after all. Sara was acting strangely too that night, and
it was obvious that there was a mutual attraction there. She opened her mouth
to start, but was interrupted by his cell phone.
"Grissom."
"Hey, it's Brass."
"Hi, Brass."
"Just wanted to let you
know that your case tonight has been solved."
"What? By whom?"
"The kid. Apparently he
and his mother had an argument. He climbed out the window and went to his
'hiding place' to think. He fell asleep under the porch."
"Uh-huh. Okay. Another
slow night in Vegas. Thanks, Jim."
He hit the end button and
relayed the message to Catherine.
"Well, we could call Sara
and Warrick to see if they need any help." She
couldn't help but notice how his eyes lit up when she mentioned Sara's name.
He quickly punched her
number in.
"Sidle."
"Hey."
"Hey yourself. Whatcha
need?"
"Wondering if you need
any help."
"You already
done?"
"Yeah...case solved
itself. Kid fell asleep under the porch, the parents panicked."
"Well, this is pretty
much cut and dry. Drunk driver, utility pole, 80 miles per hour."
"Okay, so...I guess
we'll met you back at the lab later."
"Okay...how's it
going?"
He knew she was talking
about Catherine. "Suspicious...you?"
She laughed. "Oh
yeah...he even mentioned you. Then O'Reilly came by. I haven't had a chance to
answer him yet."
Catherine was surprised to
hear laughter coming from Grissom. She was getting antsy waiting for him to
hang up the phone.
"Well, the truth is
always good. See you at the lab in a few."
"Okay...I love
you."
Catherine watched as his
smile spread across his face.
"Yeah, I know."
He quickly hit the end
button and she could've sworn she heard him sigh.
"Grissom?"
"Yeah?"
"So...what's going
on?"
He turned to her and smiled.
"What do you mean?"
"Gilbert..." She
took some satisfaction in his cringe
over the use of his full first name. "You come in to work unusually happy.
Not just happy, but almost...excited and jubilant."
"Jubilant?" He had
to laugh. "What happened to 'Gruesome Grissom'?"
"That's what I want to
know."
He just raised his eyebrow
as a smirk appeared. Pulling into the parking lot, he couldn't help but
chuckle.
He wasn't going to come
right out and tell her. She knew that. She needed to collect her thoughts and
discuss it with Warrick before going any further.
Catherine was sitting in the
breakroom, trying to figure Grissom’s mood out when
Sara and Warrick walked in. She could tell by the
look on Warrick's face that he knew something.
Suddenly, Grissom walked through the door, looked at Sara, and headed towards
the coffee pot.
"Done?"
Sara nodded, seemingly
answering more than one question, Catherine noted. He smiled back at Sara.
"Good."
Slowly, he turned back
towards the other two. "Brass just called. Break-in. I told him
that..."
Catherine quickly interrupted
him. "Warrick and I will take it." She had to find out what Warrick
knew.
"Well, okay. Sara? Feel
up to some paperwork?"
"Whee..." She
walked out the door and headed towards Grissom's office.
He looked down the hall and
smiled. "Everyone loves paperwork." Then he was off to join her.
Making sure Grissom was
indeed gone, Catherine quickly caught up with Warrick.
"What's going on?"
He laughed. "Cath...you
won't even believe it. I'll tell you in the car."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
He walked into his office to
find her sitting on his black leather couch diligently working on a stack of
paperwork. He smiled as he sat down beside her and began going through another
stack. She looked up at him and smiled. "So?"
"Cath never
asked...what about Warrick?"
"Well, what I didn't
realize was that he had moved closer to me while I was on the phone with you.
He wasn't intentionally eavesdropping, but when I said 'I love you', it kind of
stood out, I guess."
"How did he take
it?"
"He wasn't too
surprised actually. He said it was just a matter of time and that he was happy
for us."
"I'm happy for us
too." He grinned as he leaned over and placed a kiss on her lips. Standing
up, he noticed a question in her eyes. "Coffee...want some?"
"Nah...I'll just take a
drink of yours." She rifled through a couple of pages and looked up at
him. "I really do hate
paperwork."
He laughed as he turned to
go to the breakroom.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Warrick, you're
joking!"
"No, I'm not
Cath. I swear." He childishly crossed his heart and smiled at her.
She could see the truth in
his eyes.
"She told you
herself?"
"Well, she couldn't
really deny it after I knew who she was talking to when she said 'I love
you'."
She shook her head and began
to laugh. He looked at her, confused only for a second. "Took them long
enough, didn't it?"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
They made their way back to
the lab around 5:30 in the morning, only to find Sara and Grissom in his office
methodically going through stacks of papers. Judging from the size of the 'out'
pile, they had actually gotten quite a bit of work done. She watched as Grissom
caressed Sara's thigh...lovingly, yet almost automatically. She couldn't help
but smile.
"So, when were you
planning on telling me?"
Grissom looked up and
smiled. "When you asked...you never did."
"Since when does a
direct question force an answer from you?"
He shrugged his shoulders
and glanced at Sara, then found Catherine's eyes again. "You mad?"
"What?"
"Are you mad at
me?"
"For?" Catherine
was somewhat confused.
"Not telling you."
"Mad? No...but it does
explain your transformation."
"Transformation?"
Sara was intrigued.
Grissom looked at her and
answered for Catherine. "Yeah...from Gruesome Grissom to Jubilant
Gil."
Sara's laughter echoed in
the room. Catherine walked over to the two of them and gave each a big hug.
"I'm happy for you both." Then she turned to Grissom. "Don't
screw it up, Gil."
"I won't."
She could see the sincerity
in his eyes. She could also see the worry in them. He was afraid that he would
screw it up. Fear was something she wasn't used to seeing in his eyes. She
smiled a silent promise to him that everything would be okay. He answered with
his own, before checking the time.
Looking at Sara, he smiled.
"6:00...ready to go home?"
She returned his smile.
"More than ready."
He couldn't count the times
that they had been here before. Today, it was different though--today it was
special--today was their six month anniversary. Anniversaries always confused
him. Well, until he fell in love with Sara. He could never understand the big
deal. But now his eyes were open. She had opened them and here they were six
months later.
Sure, there had been rough
days for them. But, every couple argues once in a while. Their arguments never
lasted long and were mostly over things that didn't really matter anyway. He
smiled as he remembered their last argument.
"Dammit Gil, we can't
paint it blue!"
"Why not? I like
blue."
"Blue is NOT going to
work here."
"I'm sure as hell not
painting it yellow!"
They eventually decided on
dusty rose for the color of the guest room--their argument ending in a paint
fight, which quickly led to two blue and yellow covered bodies passionately
making love.
"Um...Gil..."
The breathless voice brought
his mind back quickly. He smiled as his hand gently caressed her
breast...gently pinched her nipple. He leaned down and sucked her tongue into
his mouth. He felt her body arch to him as she cried out his name. Her body was
quivering underneath him as he slowed his pace to give her time to recover.
She slowly opened her eyes
and gazed into his. Her hand gently wiped the sweat from the side of his face,
then ran through his hair. She pulled him down for a kiss to let him know she
was ready. He slowly increased his pace, easily able to find her g-spot again.
Soon she was moaning loudly and writhing under him again. Her lips found his
neck, tasting the warm, salty skin.
"Oh God, Sara..."
She smiled thinking about how
methodical, yet how unpredictable, he was as they made love. She moved in with
him five months ago now. Again, she smiled when she thought about how their
friends were worried that it was too soon. She held him closer, letting her
nails--which she kept trimmed now--lightly glide across his back and up to the
nape of his neck. She felt his teeth scrape against her neck. She heard him
whisper in her ear "I love you". She felt his muscles tense as they
cried out each other's names in unison.
She felt the sweat drip from
his hair to her shoulder as he snuggled against her. She curled a strand of his
wet hair around her finger as she lovingly kissed his shoulder. "I love
you Gil."
He gave her a familiar sigh
and held her closer, not willing to let go just yet. "I love you
too."
She looked across the room
at the new orchid sitting on their dresser. The handwritten card beside of
it...Gil's handwriting. No simple "From Grissom" on this one.
"Happy Anniversary, Sara. I love you. Always, Gil."
She smiled as he drifted
into a peaceful slumber, his fingers lightly tracing the same small circles on
her arm that he traced six months ago. She felt herself drifting off along with
him. She gently kissed his lips and whispered "Happy Anniversary, Babe."
He smiled in his sleep. He
loved it when she called him "Babe".
He awoke to an empty, but
warm bed. Glancing at the window, he noticed it was dark outside. He panicked
briefly, thinking he was late for work. He quickly remembered that he and Sara
had the night off. It was their anniversary, after all.
He quickly pulled on his
boxers and went to search for her. He found her easily enough. He knew she
loved the balcony. He stood inside and watched her. Standing in the dark,
dressed only in his shirt, gazing out over the lights of the city. She was
beautiful. He smiled as he joined her outside.
She sensed his presence and
turned and smiled. "You woke up."
"Mm-hm. Without you
beside me."
She brushed her lips against
his and smiled. "I’m sorry, babe."
He ran his hand through her
hair. "It’s okay, you didn’t go far." He pulled her into his arms and
gazed into her eyes. "What were you thinking about?"
She shrugged her shoulders
and cocked her eyebrow at him. "How much I love you…how much I need
you…how much I want you." She quickly glanced around. "And…the fact
that we’ve never had sex here."
He chuckled. He hadn’t
thought about it, but she was right. They were rarely home at night together
and sex on the balcony just wasn’t an option for him in the bright light of
day. He quickly mimicked her glance around. It was late, no lights on anywhere
around them. His eyes returned to hers as his hands slid down from her
shoulders to rest on her hips.
Her hands were resting
lightly on his bare chest. Slowly, they found their way around his neck as they
moved closer to each other. She pressed her lips to his, gently at first. She
felt his tongue slowly slip into her mouth as his hands moved under her shirt.
She moaned lightly into his mouth as he gently squeezed her ass and ground his
hips against hers.
He turned her body slightly,
his mouth never leaving hers. He swiftly picked her up, almost effortlessly,
and set her down gently on the patio table. Suddenly, his shirt that she was
wearing was now very much in his way. She groaned as he pulled it from her, the
soft cotton rubbing against her sensitive nipples. She pulled his hand to her
already wet center, urging him to stroke her.
"Oh Sara…" It
always amazed him that she would be that wet that quickly.
What he didn’t seem to
realize was that all he had to do was look at her…it was an automatic reaction
to his gaze. He slowly obliged her urge…gently stroking her as his tongue
lovingly tormented her nipples. He was able to guide her to a lying position on
the table using only gentle pressure from his mouth. She pulled his face to her
hers and he quickly covered her mouth with his, stifling her moans as her
orgasm coursed through her body. Her shorter nails dug at his shoulders, her
hips thrust against his hand, she moaned into his mouth.
When he was sure that she
had regained control over herself, he allowed his lips and tongue to travel
down her body. He stopped suddenly and placed a tender kiss right below her
navel. He looked up into her eyes and smiled.
She returned his smile as
her hand reached out to him. "Help me up."
A puzzled look shone in his
eyes. Her smile widened. "Come on, Gil…help me up."
He gently pulled her up to a
sitting position and she slid off of the table and onto her shaky legs.
She pushed him backwards
until he felt the chair hit the back of his legs. He smiled as he realized this
wasn’t over. She quickly, but carefully, pulled his boxers off as he sat in the
chair. Before he knew it, she had climbed on top of him, effectively impaling
herself on his rigid cock.
His hands found her hips as
his head fell back against the chair. "Oh God…Sara…um…Sara…"
She smiled down at him as
she gently moved his hands to her breasts. She leaned over and pulled the
tender skin on his neck into her mouth, sucking hungrily.
"Oh…"
She had made him speechless
once again. She smiled to herself, knowing that it would be soon that she’d
hear the words. A guttural moan escaped his throat.
"Oh…God…Sara…fuck
me…Sara…"
Her smile widened as she
quickened her pace. This was a very rare situation and she was determined to
make the most of it.
His hand slid back down to
her hips, rising and falling with her as she slammed against him. He tightened
his grip on her, pulling her down harder on him. He felt her muscles tighten
around him and felt her warm liquid cover him, dripping onto his thighs.
"Oh, Gil!
Um…oh…baby…"
He wasn’t far behind her,
grasping at her body, calling her name. "Sara…Sara…honey…oh…uh…Sara…"
He exploded inside of her as
her body collapsed against his. Their lips found each other as he breathlessly
kissed her, softly murmuring "I love you".
After their bodies had
calmed, they slowly made their way back inside. He went to the refrigerator to
grab them a bottle of water and came back to find her giggling lightly.
Uh…Sara?" He grinned as she looked at him and laughed.
"And what is so funny?"
She calmed herself a little.
"I made you beg…that doesn’t happen often. I think it’s cute."
"As I recall, I’ve made
you beg before too." He grinned at her. "And you’re right…it is
cute."
He playfully squirted water
from the bottle onto her body. The next thing he knew, they were sprawled out
on the floor, laughing and kissing.
He knew at this moment,
without a doubt, he never wanted this to end.
Catherine walked into
Grissom's office to find him gazing at something in his hand. She knew by the
look on his face that something heavy was weighing on his mind.
"Missing Sara?"
He jumped slightly and
automatically closed his hand. Looking up at her, he smiled. "I always
miss her when she's not here."
She returned his smile.
"So, what is she doing on her night off?"
"Well, I told her to
get some sleep. But, knowing her, she's sitting in the living room reading a
book on entomology and listening to the scanner." He chuckled at the
mental image he knew was probably correct.
"What's on your mind, Griss?"
He sighed heavily before
meeting her eyes. "Catherine, I need your help."
Startled, she moved closer
to his desk and sat down. "Is everything okay?"
"Yeah...fine...I
just...well...look at this and tell me what you think." He stretched his
arm out to her, hand still closed, and motioned for her to open her hand.
Tentatively, she opened her
hand. The last time he did this, he dropped a hissing Madagascar cockroach in
her hand. He had bruises for a week after that. She felt something cool drop
lightly into her hand. She opened her eyes, not realizing that she had closed
them in fear of what might be crawling in her hand, to see him smiling at her.
She looked down at the object resting in her palm.
"Oh my God." She
gingerly picked it up, watching the sparkles radiate from the diamond.
"Grissom?"
"What do you
think?"
"I think
it's...beautiful." And it was. A beautiful one-carat diamond set in a
platinum band. She turned it over and around, examining it in awe. It was then
she noticed the inscription inside the band. Since I Met You.
"Long story."
She looked up in puzzlement.
"What?"
"The inscription...it's
a long story." He smiled softly. "Do you think she'll like it?"
"No." She watched
his eyes widen. "No, no...what I mean is...she'll love it!"
He inhaled deeply. "I
hope so."
"She will...trust
me." His smile was contagious. "But...I thought you didn't believe in
marriage."
He laughed gently and shook
his head. "I didn't...until Sara."
"When are you going to
ask her?"
"I don't know. I wanted
to last night, but the ring wasn't ready until this afternoon." He looked
worried.
"Nick will never
believe this!"
They laughed together as
they remembered his reaction to learning that Grissom and Sara were dating.
* * * * *
"You're full of shit, Warrick. No way." Nick stood there, shaking his head
with his arms crossed against his chest.
"I'm telling you man,
it's the God's honest truth!"
He didn't believe it until a
few days later when he ran into Sara and Grissom in the locker room. It had
been a difficult night. Their case was a battered wife--she never dealt with
those cases well.
"Sara, calm
down...please...for me."
"It pisses me off, Griss...and scares the hell out of me."
Knowing her past, he gently
caressed her cheek as her tears fell. "Sara...I would never hurt you. You
know that, right?"
She looked into his eyes.
"Yeah, but..."
"But, nothing. Never,
Sara, never." He pulled her into his arms and gently kissed her lips.
"I love you, honey."
She returned his kiss.
"I love you too. Can we go home now?"
Nick quietly left the locker
room, full of mixed emotions. He was happy for them. Everyone knew they would
end up together. But, he just lost $100 to Warrick.
*
* * * *
Grissom sighed. Catherine
looked at him. "Are you okay?"
He smiled at her.
"Yes...just nervous."
Catherine returned his smile
as she handed the ring back to him. "Trust me Grissom...she's going to
love it." She gently squeezed his shoulder before leaning down to hug him.
"I'm happy for you."
He hugged her back and
smiled. "Thanks. For everything."
He walked into their home to
find her asleep on the couch...with an open entomology textbook lying on her
stomach and the scanner broadcasting the current crimes. He smiled as he
quietly walked to their bedroom and hid the small black velvet box in the back
of his nightstand. After a deep sigh, he made his way back to the living room
and turned the scanner off. He heard her stir slightly. He turned and watched
her for a few moments. Her chest was rising and falling peacefully in her
slumber.
Her eyes slowly fluttered
open to see him standing there, smiling at her. She yawned and returned his
smile, moving the book to the coffee table. "Good morning."
"Hi." He slowly
walked to her and sat on the edge of the couch beside of her. Gently, he
brushed her hair away from her eyes. "Why do you never sleep in bed on
your nights off?"
Her hand rested on his
thigh. "I can't sleep in there without you. I toss and turn all
night."
He smiled and nodded. He
knew exactly what she meant. He had the same problem on his own nights off.
"I missed you at work tonight."
"I missed you here
tonight."
He leaned down and pressed
his lips to hers. Her tongue gently nudged him and his lips immediately parted,
granting her access. She slid his jacket off of his shoulders and he let it
fall to the floor beside the sofa. His fingers had edged under the hem of her
tee shirt and were lightly grazing her skin. Her hand moved to his and gently
pushed it towards the waistband of the sweatpants she was wearing. His mouth
moved to her earlobe, tenderly nibbling on it as his hand slipped under the
fleece, stopping only when his fingers touched the soft, damp hair there.
Looking into her eyes, he
grinned. "Were you dreaming about me?"
"Mmm...always
Gil...always." Her right hand moved up his thigh and came to a rest on his
arousal. Her eyebrow cocked at him as her smile spread. "Someone happy to
see me?"
His eyes had slowly closed
when she touched him. "Very..."
Her left hand reached around
his neck and pulled him back to her. His tongue hungrily, almost desperately,
dove into her mouth. Her fingers tightened in his hair as his fingers began to
softly stroke her. He could feel her groan more than he actually heard it. Her
right hand slowly released its hold and she began working on his belt, her left
hand still in his hair, massaging his scalp as he passionately kissed her. She
successfully loosened his belt and carefully pulled his zipper down.
She whimpered as his hand
left her. He broke the kiss, looked into her eyes, and brought his fingers to
his mouth...slowly, teasingly, licking them clean.
"Gil..."
He smiled as he shifted his
weight and began to stand.
"No..." She whispered gruffly.
He looked at her
questioningly. She grabbed the fabric of his pants and pulled him back to her,
effectively pulling his pants and boxers down at the same time. "Make love
to me here."
He pulled his shirt over his
head and kicked his pants off over to the side. She took in a sharp breath as
she looked at him. After all of these months, he never failed to take her
breath away. He gazed into her eyes as his hands eased under the waistband of
her pants and gently slid them down, letting them fall into a pile on top of
his clothes.
He knelt on the end of the
couch, his hands lovingly caressing her ankles and then moving up her legs
slowly, gently parting them. His tongue followed his hands, tasting her skin
again as if it were the first time. His hands slid under her thighs as her
knees bent slightly.
He stopped momentarily to
watch her remove her shirt. Her eyes were closed, her skin was flushed, her
breathing was becoming rapid. He smiled as his tongue tasted her again. She
instinctively opened her legs more as his tongue entered her briefly before
moving up to her already swollen clitoris. He gently kissed her there,
listening to her breathe his name, before continuing his journey up her body.
She softly cried out as she
felt his mouth leave her. She felt his hot breath gently land on her stomach as
he continued. He gently sucked one of her nipples into his mouth as he rubbed
his thumb across the other one.
"Oh Gil..."
Not wanting the other one to
feel neglected, he shifted slightly, pulling her other nipple into his mouth.
He felt her slowly pull her knees up to his sides, gently urging him. He
relinquished her nipple and looked into the brown eyes gazing back at him.
Softly, he whispered,
"Not yet, baby..."
"Please...Gil..."
He smiled and gently shook
his head. Her hands were in his hair, pulling his face to hers. Her tongue
slowly moved across his Adam's apple and up to his chin. She nibbled on his
flesh as a light moan escaped him.
"Sara..."
Her lips found his once more
and she felt the familiar tremble in her body as he sucked her tongue back into
his mouth.
He slowly gave into her,
feeling himself easily slide inside of her. He heard her familiar gasp and
smiled. He moved slowly, watching her face. He felt her legs move around his
waist and tighten slightly, begging him to push further. He did as he was
silently asked. Anything to please her. Her hands caressed his arms as he
slowly made love to her. He could taste the sweat on her neck as she rocked her
hips up to meet his gentle thrusts. Her hands slid across his back in the thin
layer of sweat that now coated them both.
He felt her muscles contract
around him.
"Oh Gil...I'm...so
close...um..."
He quickened his strokes and
felt her release. The warmth of the juices coating him in waves sent him over
the edge.
"Sara...uh...oh...Sara..."
He moved faster and harder
inside of her, sending another orgasm crashing over her as his was granted.
They held each other for a
while before either of them had the strength to move. She smiled at him and
gently kissed his lips.
"You amaze me."
"What?"
"The way you make love
to me...it's amazing."
He smiled and lightly
blushed. "Do you have any idea how much I love you?"
Her fingers searched his
hair, looking for her favorite curl. Finding it and
letting it curl around her finger, she smiled. "Yeah...but I always like
hearing it."
His hand ran through her
damp hair as she snuggled against him. He pulled the blanket from the back of
the sofa and covered them with it before gathering her in his arms and letting
sleep overtake them.
"Gil?"
"Yeah?"
"I love you too."
He smiled. They could eat
breakfast later...maybe.
