My God, she is beautiful.

The thought ran through Grissom’s mind and into his heart as he watched her walk by his office door. He knew in his heart that he loved her. But, he also knew that his past relationships had not worked out well at all. He blamed no one other than himself.

He was the ‘quirky bug man’. He had his own way of saying and doing things. Not many women would hang around long enough to learn about the "real" Grissom. The one that had deep feelings and emotional scars. Not that he would have let just any woman through the wall around his heart.

But, Sara was different. Sara knew him better than anyone. Sara was the one who could turn his head quicker than he ever thought possible. Sara was also the only person who knew about his medical condition, other than his doctor. She was the only one he had trusted completely enough to discuss it.

He slowly spun his chair around and gazed out the window into the darkness. The lights of Vegas calmed his nerves and slowly he began to drift away into another world. A world in which Sara was his. Only his.

"What are you doing?"

"What?"

"It’s your day off, what are you doing here?"

"Oh…paperwork. Wanna help?"

"Sure, it’s a slow night. Catherine took the night off to be with Lindsey, and Warrick and Nick took the only case for the night. I’m all yours."

He raised an eyebrow at that last statement and looked at her quizzically. "Really?"

She realized what she had said and began to blush. "Well…uh…."

He grinned at her and took her arm in his. "Come on. Paperwork calls."

They sat in his office with the door closed working on a seemingly endless stack of paperwork. His eyes burning from the strain, he removed his glasses and massaged his temples.

"Migraine coming on?"

"No, just eye strain. Paperwork does that to me sometimes."

He looked over at her and watched her stretch her back. "You okay?"

"Yeah, my muscles are just knotting up a bit. Paperwork does that to me sometimes." She looked at him and grinned.

He stood up and walked behind her. Gently, he placed his hands on her shoulders, slowly massaging the tension away. She could feel the heat from his hands coursing through her body.

"Mmmm…that feels good Griss."

He smiled. He loved to hear her say his name. He slowly worked his way down her back, concentrating on a tight spot he had found right above her tailbone. Just feeling her body beneath his hands was turning him on. He let his hands rest on her hips as he leaned down to place a sweet, gentle kiss on her neck.

He stood back up and took a step backwards, realizing that he had just crossed that line. She swivelled her chair around and looked into his eyes. "And what possessed you to do that?"

"Beauty." He was beginning to blush. And after a few minutes of silence, he quietly apologized. "I’m sorry."

"Don’t be." She stood up and took a step towards him, never breaking eye contact. "I’m not."

"No?"

Taking his hands in hers and then placing them back on her hips, she whispered softly to him. "No."

She let her hands rest on his abdomen, slowly moving up his chest, and around his neck where her fingers lovingly caressed the curls of his hair. She could feel his heart race. She could hear her own.

"Sara…" She heard him whisper her name as she tilted her head up towards him and placed a tender kiss on his lips.

He returned the kiss, slowly at first and then their mutual passion began to take over. Suddenly, he wasn’t worried about the paperwork anymore as he swept it off the desk and into the floor, his lips never leaving Sara’s. Carefully, he pushed her back until she was lying on the desk with her legs wrapped tightly around him. He whispered her name as he was gently sucking the flesh of her beautiful neck into his mouth. "Oh Sara…."

"Grissom…oh Gris…som…"

"Grissom? Grissom!"

He was quickly jolted back into reality by her voice. Spinning the chair back around, trying his best to conceal his arousal, he found himself gazing into her eyes.

"What?"

"What are you doing?"

"Huh?"

"I’ve been trying to get your attention for a couple of minutes now. You okay?"

"Uh…yeah."

"You scared me. I thought your hearing was totally gone all of the sudden."

"No…I’m hearing fine…I was just…um…" Looking into her eyes, he realized that she knew more than he thought she did "I was….daydreaming."

"About what?"

"Oh…you know…normal stuff."

Removing a stack of papers, she sat down on the edge of his desk, searching his eyes. A smile formed on her lips and her fingers ran through his hair.

"Sometimes dreams become reality. You just have to know how to go about it."
