He wearily rubbed his eyes and glanced at the clock. Shift was over an hour ago...I should go home. He stood slowly and collected his belongings and began walking towards his office door. The shrill beep of his cellphone signaling a text message stopped him.

Sighing he pulled the phone from his belt and flipped it open. Sara? He quickly read the message and felt his heart lurch at the short message.

‘425 Can you help?’

His briefcase fell to the floor beside of him and he resisted the intense urge to just call her. Instead, he typed in a quick message back.

‘Where? Are you safe?’

He stared at the phone, willing it to signal an incoming message. His hands trembled slightly as his patience wore thin.

‘Blue Diamond Hill gypsum mine. Yes I’m safe.’

What the hell is she doing there? That’s about 20 miles...I could be there in...

‘15 minutes.’

He snapped the phone shut and quickly made his way to his Tahoe waiting in the parking lot.

~~~~~~~~~~~~
His mind raced as he sped through the traffic. Blue Diamond...she should be home. God, what if I get there too late? What if something happens to her? What if I don’t get the chance to tell her...
“Dear God, get the HELL out of my way!” He swerved around the Cadillac in front of him and stomped on the gas pedal.
He glanced at the clock. It’s been ten minutes, anything can happen in ten minutes with a 425. He paid no attention to the speedometer as it steadily rose above 90. It didn’t occur to him to wonder why she messaged him instead of calling the police. It didn’t matter. She needed him.
He made the turn and slowed down enough to climb the hill without killing himself. As he topped the hill, he saw her midnight blue Tahoe parked under a mass of trees. Pulling over, he killed the engine and clambered out of his vehicle.
A look of confusion crossed his face as he saw her leaning against the driver’s door of the Tahoe, smiling at him. He dropped his keys into the pocket of his slacks as he quickly walked towards her.
“Sara?”
“Hey...”
He looked around, scanning their surroundings. Seeing nothing, he turned back to her gaze. “425?”
She blushed lightly and tilted her head. “Well...I have a gun...and...I’m a person...”
His eyes narrowed as his confusion grew. “What?”
She took a few steps towards him and stood directly in front of him. “I...needed to talk to you...away from work...”
His eyes darkened slightly. “Why didn’t you just say that? ‘Grissom, can we talk?’ You had to tell me there was a person with a gun?”
She winced at his raising voice. “I was afraid you wouldn’t come...”
“Dammit Sara! You scared the hell out of me. I could’ve killed someone...or myself...trying to get here...”
She hung her head for a moment before looking into his eyes. “I’m sorry. I didn’t realize it would scare you...I just...wanted to talk to you.”
Taking a deep breath, he counted to ten before he exhaled slowly. “About what, Sara?” His voice was somewhat calmer, but she could still hear the annoyance in his tone.
“Us.”
“Us? What about us?”
“This game we play, Griss. Pulling each other in, only to push each other away again...” She moved closer to him, never breaking eye contact. “I’m...tired of the game...”
“I’m not playing a...”
His thought was lost as he felt her hand gently slip into his pocket and grasp his keys. He inhaled sharply as she pulled the keychain from his pocket. He felt his cock twitch slightly as he realized how close her hand had actually been to him.
“Sara...what...are you doing?”
She gave him a coy smile and held his keys up for him to see. “So you can’t run away from me again...”
She tossed his keys through the open window of her Tahoe and grinned. Before he had a chance to say a word, she grabbed the collar of his shirt and pulled him in for a fierce kiss. He resisted for a moment. But, for only a moment.
She groaned into his mouth as he pushed her back against the warm metal of the vehicle. She could feel his growing arousal as he pressed his body into hers. She released her hold on him long enough to reach for the handle to the back door. Fumbling briefly with the mechanism as his tongue probed her mouth, she finally got the door open and pulled from him.
He stared at her through his glazed eyes as she grinned and climbed into the back seat. “Are you coming?”
He glanced around quickly before his eyes settled back on her. He gasped lightly as he watched her remove her shirt and her fingers moved to the waistband of her jeans.
“Sara...”
Griss...there’s no one around...”
He licked his lips and swallowed nervously as she unbuttoned her jeans and pushed them down her long legs. He nodded slowly and tugged at the buttons of his shirt as he climbed in beside of her. Closing the door behind him, his mouth closed over hers in desperation.
A moan rumbled in his chest as she gently rubbed his straining erection before pulling his belt free. Reaching behind her, he deftly unclasped her bra and pulled it from her body. Breaking the kiss, he pulled back and stared at her.
“Sara...are...you sure about this?”
She responded with a smile as she pulled his zipper down and reached inside of his boxers to touch him. He fought to maintain some amount of control as she began to stroke him tenderly.
“Do you want me, Gil?”
He nodded wordlessly and resisted the urge to thrust into her hand.
“Then...take me...”
He gently pushed her down against the seat and knelt between her legs. Reaching up, she pushed his shirt off of his shoulders as he worked his pants and boxers down. Allowing his shirt to fall to the floorboard on top of her clothes, his eyes closed as her fingers trailed across his chest lightly.
Leaning over her, he placed a soft kiss on her lips before moving to her breast. She moaned as he took her nipple into her mouth and sucked gently as his tongue flicked across it.
She moved her legs around his waist and pulled him closer to her. “Please, Gil...”
He smiled against her skin as he felt the head of his erection prod at her opening, slick with her fluids. He released her nipple and gazed down at her. Their eyes locked with one another’s as he gently eased inside of her.
The warmth surrounding him was almost enough to invoke his orgasm right then. He groaned as her legs tightened around him and her hips pushed up to meet his gentle thrusts. He brushed against her g-spot with each stroke and smiled as her eyes closed and the flush spread across her skin.
Her fingers dug into his back as he quickened his pace, urging her to come. Burying his head into the crook of her neck, he gently sucked the soft flesh into his mouth and nibbled lightly.
“Faster...hard...harder...oh...Gil...yes...so...close...”
He plunged into her hot depths again and again, groaning as he felt her walls clench around him. He sucked the skin that was held between his teeth with a little more force than he intended. He knew he was marking her flesh. He hoped she wouldn’t mind.
Her nails scraped across his back as he felt her orgasm hit. The hot fluid rushing over him was too much. He released her neck as her name left his vocal cords in the form of a groan as he exploded within her.
He collapsed on top of her as she held him tightly. Her fingers and nails quit digging into his skin, replaced by her hands rubbing his back soothingly. After several long moments of listening to their labored breathing, he pushed himself up and smiled at her.
“Sara?”
“Hmm?”
“Um...would you like to...uh...come over to my place?”
She returned his smile. “Hm...what for?”
“Uh...a 483?”
She chuckled lightly. “Coffee?”
He gave her a wink and a bright smile. “Coffee is always good to have between conversations....”
