He slowly awoke, very aware of the warm body lying
next to him. Blinking his eyes, he looked around. A smile formed on his lips as
he looked at her. He replayed the previous night's events in his head.

He decided to attend the Christmas party. He
wasn't sure why, he didn't really enjoy socializing. He sat quietly, drinking
his glass of wine and listening to Catherine and Warrick
discussing something about a television show he had never heard of.
Suddenly, his eyes were drawn to the door.
Sara. He felt his heart jump to his
throat. Then, just as quickly, he felt it sink as he saw him following her.
"Excuse me for a minute."
Catherine watched as he walked to the bar and
ordered a double bourbon...on the rocks.
"What's with him?" Warrick was always somewhat confused by Grissom, but he had
never seen him drink liquor...only wine.
"I'm not sure." She was very
concerned. This wasn't like Grissom. She watched as he quickly downed his drink
and ordered two more. He picked up his drinks and resumed his seat across from
Catherine.
"Griss, you okay?"
"Sure." He quickly downed his second
drink and glanced over towards Sara. Sure, he told her that she deserved to
have a life, but he meant with him...not Hank. She had told him that they were
only friends, but she did bring him to the party.
"I think I'm going outside for a minute
or two." With that, he quickly stood up and walked out onto the balcony
before Catherine or Warrick could utter a word.
He stood on the balcony and deeply breathed
the cold air into his lungs. He took another drink and sighed heavily.
"Hey." The voice startled him and he
quickly turned around.
"Hi Sara. How are you?"
"I'm okay, are you?" She was looking
at the drink in his hand and the one on the table beside him.
"Yeah, I'm fine." He was lying and
they both knew it.
She could hear the music playing inside. It
was a song that reminded her of him.
"You want to come in and dance with
me?"
"Oh...uh...I don't really dance. In fact,
I was thinking about heading home." He finished his drink and picked up
the other glass, taking a hearty swallow.
"How much have you had to drink?"
He could sense the concern in her voice.
"Just a couple...I'm okay."
"Griss, you're
drinking doubles." She placed a hand on his shoulder. He could feel the
electricity shoot through him. "I'll drive you home."
"No, that's not necessary Sara. Besides,
you have...Hank...and you can't just leave him here."
She smiled at him. "Hank and I aren't
here together. He's meeting Melanie here. We just happened to come in at the
same time." She looked into his eyes and took the glass from his hand.
"Come on, I'll take you home."
Catherine watched as Grissom and Sara walked
out the door and smiled.

Once in the car, she turned the radio on. She
softly began singing along.
Do you want me?
Like I want you
Or am I standing still
Beneath the darkened sky
He loved to hear her sing. She had such a
beautiful voice. The alcohol had to be clouding his judgement because he was
seriously considering kissing her. He had wanted her for so long.
Taking a deep breath, he quietly leaned over and
kissed her neck softly. He felt her take in a sharp breath and he kissed her
again.
"Grissom...."
He placed one finger on her lips. "Sshhh."
His lips were driving her crazy. His tongue
was tracing small circles on her neck. His teeth would periodically nip at her
flesh.
"Grissom..."
He quickly glanced at the street. "Take
the next left." He went back to the loving assault on her neck.
"But you don't live..."
He interrupted her. "Please...trust
me."
She sighed and took the next left. She had
been driving for a few miles with him kissing her neck and gently rubbing her
thigh with his right hand. "Grissom, where are we going?"
He quickly looked back to the road and
whispered in her ear. "In a quarter mile, there'll be a gravel road on the
right. Take it all the way to the end." He then moved his assault from her
neck to her ear.
She found the road with a little trouble and
followed his directions.
At the end of the road was a very nice
cabin-like house. She turned the car off and he pulled back to look at her.
"Come on." He smiled and got out of the car.
He opened the door for her and she walked in.
"Where are we?"
"This is my get-away. I come here to
think and to be alone...sometimes."
She looked around the modest home, smiling at
the different cases of insect specimens. This was so Grissom. She watched him
walk past her to the stereo. It amazed her. Although she could smell the
alcohol, he showed absolutely no signs of being in a drunken stupor.
The soft music was playing as he walked back
to the door, locking it. He came up behind her, wrapped his arms around her,
and whispered in her ear. "Would you like to dance?"
"I thought you didn't dance."
"Not in front of people."
She turned around in his arms and touched his
chest. "Are you seducing me?"
He had a slight smile on his face. "I'm
trying...is it working?"
She looked into his eyes and smiled. He leaned
down and she stopped him.
"Grissom?"
"Trust me." He looked into her eyes for a moment and then
he kissed her.
Her hands found their way to the back of his
head. She was curling his hair around her finger as they kissed. She felt him
slowly unzipping her dress in the back. She moved closer to him as he gently
pulled the dress from her shoulders and let it fall to the floor. He bent his head
and tenderly kissed her shoulder as he unhooked her bra and dropped it to the
ground as well.
His lips found hers again as he picked her up
and gently laid her on the bed. He began exploring her body with his mouth,
tongue, and hands. He could feel the heat from her body. He moved down between
her legs and lovingly kissed the inside of her thigh. She gasped and he looked
at her. He had never seen a more beautiful woman in his life.
He rested his left hand on her stomach and
used his other hand to place her leg on his shoulder. He bent his head down to
take her with his mouth. His lips felt amazing to her. She tightened her legs
around his head. Carefully, he lifted his head to look at her.
"Sara?" She gazed down at him.
"I can't hear you. I want to hear you."
She relaxed the muscles in her thighs and he
gently spread her legs. He heard her moan as his tongue entered her. She tasted
wonderful. He could feel her body tense and he knew that she was close. He
quickly moved his head slightly and pulled her clitoris into his mouth, gently
sucking it. He felt her body quiver and heard her moan loudly.
"Oh...Grissom!"
He smiled as he tasted her juices on his
tongue.
She had her fingers in his hair and was
pulling him up to her face. Noticing that he was undressed, she looked at
him...puzzled.
"I can multi-task, you know."
They laughed together as she pulled him on top
of her.

He quietly slid out of bed. He looked back at
her as she stirred slightly in the bed. Smiling, he walked into the bathroom
and reached for his toothbrush. Looking into the mirror, he noticed the faint
bruise on the front of his collarbone.
He laughed to himself. "Well, I haven't
had a hickey in a LONG time."
Standing up, he stretched his back, feeling
the sting on his skin. Puzzled, he turned sideways and saw the source of the
slight pain in his back. Fingernail scratches. He
laughed again. That had NEVER happened before.
He walked back to the bedroom and carefully
climbed back into bed with her. She rolled over and sleepily opened her eyes.
She smiled as she remembered the previous night too. Looking up at him, they
exchanged a grin.
"Good morning." She tenderly kissed
his chest.
"Good morning to you."
She looked into his eyes and noticed an
unfamiliar look in his eyes. "Grissom?"
He saw the concern in hers and smiled. "I
don't regret it, Sara."
"I thought that maybe it was the
alcohol."
"Well...the alcohol was a contributing
factor." She looked down and shifted slightly away from him. He pulled her
back and lifted her face until he was gazing in her eyes. "The alcohol
gave me the courage to pursue something that I had wanted for a very long
time."
Her eyes were full of questions.
"Sara, I didn't do anything that I
regret. Last night was the most wonderful night of my life. If I could take it
back, I wouldn't. I wasn't drunk. I knew exactly what I was doing. " He smiled and bent down to kiss her tender lips. He
felt her heat growing beneath him. Carefully he rolled her over onto her back.
She looked into his smiling eyes and felt a complete and unconditional love for
him. He read her eyes. "I love you Sara."
She thought her heart was going to burst.
"I love you too Gil." He was taken aback for a second. He wasn't used
to hearing her say his first name. She began to laugh softly at his reaction
and then reached for him. "I don't have anywhere to go today...do
you?"
She watched as his eyes lit up and he licked
his lips. "No...I don't."
She grinned a
devilish grin and pulled him to her. "Make love to me again."
"You know I can't resist you Sara."
He smiled back at her as he moved in between her legs.
They had no intentions of leaving anytime
soon. They stayed in bed all day long holding each other, talking, laughing
together, and making love. Neither wanted to go to work that night, but knew
that they had to.
They took a shower together and got dressed.
As they were walking to the door, he pulled her into his arms and kissed her
passionately.
"Sara? Can you give me a ride to
work?"
She laughed as she took his hand and led him
to the car. Handing him the keys she quietly said, "Only if you
drive."
He looked at her, confused. She simply smiled,
leaned over to gently lick the side of his neck, and said, "My turn."
He blushed and opened the car door for her. It
should be an interesting drive to work.
